Moment of truth - loving kindness

I have been waitinIg for the news from my friend for the whole night. I stare at the movies on the TV and egarly waiting for the news to come in.  I was rather uneasy and keep sending SMS to check the outcome. Finally, the message came in.  She is alright and  I felt relieved and  a huge weight got off my back. I say " Thank God".

This is the feeling of loving kindness and we don't have to wait until such occasion to express it.  We should carry this loving kindness thoughts with us all the time and use it when it is appropriate. If we opt to wait , then sometimes it may be too late or  have limited time to express your thoughts  or share your thoughts or may have a proper closure to your relationship with someone.

In real life, we are so busy running around or doing our routines that we do not have the time or thought to stop a moment to express loving kindness. The feeling or action must come from the heart and not by acting out to Ywin a game or to be a hypocrate.

Yes, knowing that a person survive a difficult situation really bring us joy.  The joy of seeing the person again  and how to help him or her to recover. It is joy of giving a dana or a dharma to bring well beings to our ownself or other people. If something good happen to our friend, we should feel  better because he or she is doing well. Like the saying " it is better that our friend is  healthy rather than they are sick". If our friend is sick, we should offer dana to pray for their recovery.

Let us wind down, relax and try to read or see the sights around us whether we have been engaging in  right fold path through loving kindness. If the mind is forgetful , the heart knows.

Namaste.
