Another Wesak day gone by

Three days ago, we celebrate the Wesak Day and it just went by like another other previous Wesak Day. Any difference , just chanting , prayer and the usual routine of celebrating the Day.  Nevertheless, it maybe another routine but it helps to bring up the awareness of the believers' compassion.

One of the wisdom is " don't be just a taker but instead try to be a giver ".  Coming to think about it, we valued our wealth very much and we accumulated as much as possible through greed.  Cash is king or money means power . The power to enjoy our lives with all the materialistic things which end of our day , we cannot carry with us into our next life.  But , the pressure of having the wealth and the power over our life means everything to us.  We earn, save and keep and we are willing to give as giving means less wealth and less power.

It is a wonder why our mind play this trick on us ?  We can be as happy with just enough for us to live a simple life , in a simple house and with simple food and money not spend or given away is a useless piece of paper.  Our senses of security by holding on it  is a false sense which have been taught to us in our education system or through the influence of people. We are just following and not living.

We struggle day and night , suffering restless days and nights while working like a dog and this is just to make us rich and secured. Life is unpredictable and death is certain.  If we can understand this wisdom and breakaway from our entrenched thoughts of " more " means " excellent" , our life will be happier and freer.  We can have a more balance of life and only do the things that we like or when we like instead of stuck in a hole to get more money.

Yeah, Master Time waits for no one and it is better to have the wisdom than to blindly follow the examples of the Jones.  Our thoughts of big, more or huge means everything to us.  A bigger house, a bigger car, a more beautiful wife, a fat bank account , many hypocratic friends, a big land bank , a spacious office, etc are everything we want.

I was told at lunch time that one richman's daughter was spending everyday RM300 on just drinking coffee and her meal. She is having 7 difference sport cars and is not working .  Isn't this excessive ?  now the richman has fallen from the sky because of the new Government in Malaysia, What if all her father's riches are gone with the wind, how can she manage her life style ? She will  be struggling to live by the day and this is the law of Karma.  What reap what we sow.

So, lets wake up our senses on each Wesak Day and look ourselves in the mirrow and wake up to the realities of wisdom.

Namaste.

A new Government , a new beginning

Yeah , syabas to all Malaysians.   It is really something great to change a Government of 61 years for a new government.  There was plenty of excitement and now , we are free to read newspapers for the truth and I hope this will remain free and honest.

I read an article in the edge regarding an interview with Tun Mahatir.  Yeah , they asked him whether it is destiny that pulls him back to manage the country again and his reply was that he did not believe in destiny but he felt that he was a duty to do something when the country is gathering more debts and there was so much mismanagement and scandals.  Yes, he loved Malaysia too much to see it goes down the pipes .

For a 92 years old man, I think he should be tired and weak but it turns out that age is just a number for him.  He walks strongly but of course, unstably but what can you asked of a 92 years old . Most people would have been dead by then and who on earth can come out again to put things right .  The time is closing in and if he takes over this heavy responsibility , he could be looking for death sooner.

His spirit and desire to put things right is really an inspirational point.  I think all the troubles make him strong again and alert.  Of course,  master Time will be the final decision maker but waking up everyday with so much things to do, will keep him moving.

If is not easy to handle 4 component parties and with some many previous foes in the same camp and managing the country.  Furthermore , he choose a Chinese as the Finance Minister which makes him unpopular with certain sector of the society.  He needs good and qualified people to help him and the previous finance minister was also the PM and see how he screwed up the country.  He has a valid reason and like Deng Xao Peng, the former China's PM says , it does not matter whether it is a bad or with cat and if the cat catches the rat then it is a good cat.  Yeah, he is faced with so much problems and have to make so much tough decisions relating to the people he knows or don't know.

He cuts the salary of the ministers by 10% , reduce GST rate from 6% to 0% , closed down or merged unnecessary government depts. , fired 17,000 political appointees , change the top brass of the various authorities and maybe will reduce the size of the civil service.

He has come second time around and he knows that if he continued to use the Malays only , the new government will fall in no time and the hypocratic PAS is waiting around like a parasite.  He has to use all the talents around him to survived and re-structure the country.

My cap is off for you , Tun Mahatir .. Keep  up the good work.

What a big bull shit !!

Bullshit can get you high but it cannot protect you forever..  a real knowledge and inner capability is better than putting up a bullshitting front.  Like the story of the turkey who eat bullshits to fly higher and higher while it was finally shot down by a passing hunter.

Like beauty, the outer image of a person can be a dying fact .. One day , you look beautiful and pretty and the next day , you can fade into an ugly old fool.  This is the nature that you cannot control.   You can only delay it but it will surely come.

So, the inner beauty or strength is more important than anything external and don't aim to apple polish to look good or be good as the apple can also dry up and drop off .  It is only putting forward a front , that is illusion and not permanent.  A passing flare .

In life, we have to have  a good principled and orderly self and be a contributor to society instead of making us live in an artificial world by being someone which we are not.  We have to do what is required of us or do what we need to say or do irrespective of who is standing in front of us or around us.  Looking good and be a yes man is very deplorable and disgusting.

Life is a passing flare and it will dim with time.  In brightness , we do what is proper and when it is dim , we have no regrets.  So move on , my honorable fellas .

Move on.

Namaste.
