Coming to a 2015 close

Yeah. Another year. Another life. The past have to be gone before a new year come with new hope, new spirit and a new beginning. It is strange why we use one year to measure our achievement instead of one month or six months of each day. Perhaps, it is a reasonable time for a self check. The past one year for me have been quite peaceful with substantial amount of traveling. I have been to Bangladesh for 7 times, I think and each time is abit harder now. My body needs a longer period of time to recuperate. Aging is catching up. I could feel the strains and the aches in my body after each traveling. It is a natural progression. Well, on investment, it is abit tight and the returns is not si fast anymore as the economy turn for the worst and the cost of living have been going sky high and banks have cut back their credit lending especially on the property sector. Furthermore, there is a glut on the housing sector in Penang. Things was not so good on the investment side. Looking at the scenario, there is prediction that 2016 would be worst then 2015 and it has be bad or worst before it gets better. With China's economy falling flat, EU starting to recover , Japan still struggling with inflation and dragging down their Asian neighbours and USA is the only one keep standing but for how long nobody knows. It is very one's guess how the global economy will recover or the risk appetite coming back. So, lets prepare for the worst and what goes down will come up or goes up will come down. It depends on how you look at it. Namaste.

Don't complaint : Jack Ma (ext)

Great advice from the Richest person in China Mr. Jack Ma. Jack Ma says, "Please tell your children that the world is changing every day and no one is going to wait for you in the past. When lighter was invented, matches slowly disappeared. When calculator was created, abacus was to fade away. When digital camera was designed, the market of negative film no longer existed. When direct market selling/internet-based selling arises, traditional marketing declines. When smartphone with 4G (wireless internet access) was introduced to the world, you no longer need to turn on your computer at home. When WeChat and WhatsApp (mobile text/voice/video messaging) are developed, traditional text messaging is no longer as popular as before. Let's not to blame "Who took over Whose business." It's only because people are more adjustable and adaptable to new ideas and changes in the world. Someone asks Jack Ma, "What is your secret for success?" He says, "Really simple...I am doing (action) while you're only watching." Please remember that the world keeps changing every day. If you don't change, you'll be left behind. You reap what you sow with your time. If you spend time to drink, you may become an alcoholic. If you spend time to complain, you may become a blamer. If you spend time to beautify yourself, you may become a pretty girl/handsome guy. If you spend time to stay healthy, you may enjoy a healthy good life. If you spend time to be picky, you may become a 'mean' person. If you spend time to learn, you may gain wisdom. If you spend time with your family, you may foster a warm and loving relationship with your loved ones.

Which way to heaven ?

During the Christmas break, the common topic was " Heaven". Is there  a Heaven or Nirvana? There are so many opinion about his matter.  Is it a christian heaven or a Buddhist Nirvana or a Muslim syurga ? What about the Hindus, the Jews, the Shinto , the minority religions ? Don't they have a place like Heaven ? There is a song " Heaven knows". In the lyric, finally, whether there is a place called Heaven, only Heaven knows or God knows.

In an interaction, someone say that there are many roads to one destination and there are many ways to Heaven if there is one.  It is confusing whether at the end is Heaven or Hell ?  Some religion have both like if you you do good , you go to Heaven and if you do bad, it is Hell,

In the Buddhist philosoply, the law of karma prevails.  If you have done bad, you will re-birth in the earth realm and if you do good, you will evolved until you get out of this realm to another dimension and finally, if  you achieved enlightenment you go to Nirvana and stay there, happy ever after,.

What are all these stories ? It is make by Men and some say that it is through inspiration by GOD or some people achieved enlightenment and related it to the commoners. But, there is no hard facts that shows the existence of Heaven.

So which way do we want to take to reach Heaven ?  The Penang Road , the Perak Road or the KL road ? Is there a Heaven existing at the end of the road.  Just think about it ? Everything is so confusing.

A hectic christmas break

For the past five days, it had been very hectic starting with a trip to KL to visit the new cementery of my SIL at Nirvana , Shah Alam , Selangor. We drove down from Penang on the last wednesday and attende4 a gathering in the nite in the memory of my SIL and it was a gathering of 30 members ,covering relatives, friends and the christian pasters.  It lasted until 10pm , starting from 7pm.

On the next day, we visted the cementery of my SIL at Nirvana and we were taken on a trip to visit the cementery comprising of the buddhist lots and christian lots. It was a massive place to rest the ashes of the dead.  At the Ming palace, there was a big statute of Buddha at the entrance and at the temple which have several stories , they offered may resting lots or "condos" for the ashes of the dead. The price hovers from a few thousands to tens of thousands depending on the facilities and place of the lots. This place gives dignity to the dead.  I was told that the Nirvana at Nilai was much better and offers an option for more resting palaces.  The set up of the place is a replica of a temple from China with beautiful landscaping.

After the visit to Nirvana , we proceed to have Bak Kut Teh at Klang but it was a disappointment as the taste was not comparable to the one in Penang. I was expecting a more tasteful meat.

We proceed to return to the home of my second SIL and we rested in the place and we went for dinner at night with a few friends and the food there was much better.

On Christmas day, we departed from KL at 8.30am and we traveled to Telok Intan to visit a relative in his oil palm estate and it took us about 3 hours to reach there and we had lunch at Telok Intan.  The small town is near a big river and offers the best seafood in the whole of Malaysia. The restaurant was an attap house and they offerred various fishes, prawns and veggie congees.  We had a stomach full of seafood before going to his home in the middle of an oil palm estate.  There is not much to see except miles and miles of oil palm.  We headed for Penang and it took us another 4 hours to reach penang and we reached Penang at 7pm and had a simpel dinner before reaching home at 9.30pm.  The traveling was so hectic and we absolutely tired.

For the weekend, I went to a hiking session and a body message  and a lunch and dinner at May's  and the following day, a yoga session and a trip to Balik Pulau for hakka food and a few trips to visit a few place in Penang at the request of my SIL.

It was a week of activities which is tiring and eventful. Now, I am back to a normal routine.

Property sector will be at its worst in 2016 (ext)

Investment guru Datuk Gavin Tee expects 2016 to be “the worst year for Malaysian property” on the back of weaker economic growth, loss of pricing power and subdued financing, reported The Malaysian Reserve.
“2015 was bad, and 2016 will be worse,” said Tee, founder and President of SwhengTee International Real Estate Investors Club, at a recent briefing in Kuala Lumpur.
“I’ve travelled all over the region, speaking to ministers, developers, investors and the media. The feedback (on Malaysia) is something you don’t want to hear.”
Notably, property prices within the secondary market fell 15 percent this year due to weaker demand and the absence of speculators.
As such, Tee expects prices to drop even further compared to the past few years as buyers do not foresee significant positive changes in the first half of 2016.
And while property prices may not go back to the levels seen in 2009 and 2010, they will be at their lowest for the next eight years, he noted.
Lower prices, however, will not translate to more sales for developers given the slowing demand for property.
“Demand is low in the sense that there is lower foreign investment and job creation, lower purchasing ability from Malaysians, as well as the poor economic and political situations,” shared Tee.
A bigger dilemma is the high loan rejection rates, which stands at over 50 percent for KL-based properties and 80 percent for Iskandar-based properties.
Tee said that the Malaysian government should relax the cooling measures and take more steps to make it easier for investors to acquire property.
He added that if financing policies do not change, the government would not be killing the Malaysian property sector but the “Malaysian pockets”.
“If you make it difficult for local investors, the wealth will transfer to foreign hands,” he said.

"MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR 2016

Coming to another Christmas

I have been enjoying christmas for many years and each time , the festive comes along , it brings me some kind of excitement.  I don't really know what happens to me during this period but I feel the spirit of peace and happiness. I really feel that the joy and happiness should be all around. Maybe, it is near the end of the year and I got the chance to renew my resolutions and start all over again.

The feeling is mixed and I also feel that another year has to come to an end. How time flies ?  The mixed confusion of starting a new and the ending of another year is conflicting .  Why is the year gone so fast ? Wow, another new year to start again.

The starting and ending of a year is actually started by people for thousands of years. What is the purpose ? To measure how long we live or to provide a new start to every year ?  Different people look at it differently and make their own judgements for their own agenda.

Does how long we live matters ? it is not how long but how well , right ? Why have to wait for one year to start a fresh ? Everyday is a new start and a new beginning .  Does the one year period a good time to messure our achievements ? Can we postpone one year after one year ? Is it so important to measure time and see long we live ? Is living longer , a measurement of achievemennt or success ? Basically, we want to survive longer than others and have the last laugh as we are the winner. Is this concept or philosophy of life correct ?

I think to live everyday to the fullest and with restraint is the best.  Live as if tomorrow never come and treat everyday as the last day of our life.  It is true , life is uncertain and death is only certain. Maybe, this is my year's resolution to go into the next year of the monkey.

Ho ho ho, jump , jump, jump and here comes the Monkey.

emotions, our life

Most of the time ,our life is controlled by our emotions  we leashed out at things which we don't like and make a scene to show our displeasure.. Is it necessary ?  If we know that our emotions is taking over , we should arrest at its bud and turning it around and make ourself more composured. to What is the point of making everybody unhappy and in turn, make ourself unhappy and ungrateful.

I always tell my friends that if we are sad, we should watch a happy or listen to a happy story or music. It will definitely change our status of our mind and also change our composure,

A few days ago, I tried to follow this patch. I was abit restless after the death of my sister in law.  I turned to the youtube Chinese harp music and I felt so serence after hearing the sound of the harp. and flute.  It is so peaceful and the music lifted my mood.

Another time, I was upset and I turned to Harrid Iskandar , the standing comedian and after watching his youtube, I was much better and realszed that why should we let our mood or emotions control us.  We can turn it around as this is our choice , our life and our decision. We are not a robot man.

It is very true and it is a good experience to adopt this treatment to our wounded soul and mind.  Believe me , we are the master of our soul , our body and our mind. Nothing is impossible and it is up to us.

Namaste.

Interesting article on life (ext)

For many years I worked in palliative care. My patients were those who had gone home to die. Some incredibly special times were shared. I was with them for the last three to twelve weeks of their lives. People grow a lot when they are faced with their own mortality.
I learnt never to underestimate someone’s capacity for growth. Some changes were phenomenal. Each experienced a variety of emotions, as expected, denial, fear, anger, remorse, more denial and eventually acceptance. Every single patient found their peace before they departed though, every one of them.

When questioned about any regrets they had or anything they would do differently, common themes surfaced again and again. Here are the most common five:

1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.

This was the most common regret of all. When people realize that their life is almost over and look back clearly on it, it is easy to see how many dreams have gone unfulfilled. Most people had not honoured even a half of their dreams and had to die knowing that it was due to choices they had made, or not made.

It is very important to try and honour at least some of your dreams along the way. From the moment that you lose your health, it is too late. Health brings a freedom very few realise, until they no longer have it.

2. I wish I didn’t work so hard.

This came from every male patient that I nursed. They missed their children’s youth and their partner’s companionship. Women also spoke of this regret. But as most were from an older generation, many of the female patients had not been breadwinners. All of the men I nursed deeply regretted spending so much of their lives on the treadmill of a work existence.

By simplifying your lifestyle and making conscious choices along the way, it is possible to not need the income that you think you do. And by creating more space in your life, you become happier and more open to new opportunities, ones more suited to your new lifestyle.

3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.

Many people suppressed their feelings in order to keep peace with others. As a result, they settled for a mediocre existence and never became who they were truly capable of becoming. Manydeveloped illnesses relating to the bitterness and resentment they carried as a result.

We cannot control the reactions of others. However, although people may initially react when you change the way you are by speaking honestly, in the end it raises the relationship to a whole new and healthier level. Either that or it releases the unhealthy relationship from your life. Either way,you win.

4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.

Often they would not truly realise the full benefits of old friends until their dying weeks and it was not always possible to track them down. Many had become so caught up in their own lives that they had let golden friendships slip by over the years. There were many deep regrets about not giving friendships the time and effort that they deserved. Everyone misses their friends when they are dying.

It is common for anyone in a busy lifestyle to let friendships slip. But when you are faced with your approaching death, the physical details of life fall away. People do want to get their financial affairs in order if possible. But it is not money or status that holds the true importance for them. They want to get things in order more for the benefit of those they love. Usually though, they are too ill and weary to ever manage this task. It is all comes down to love and relationships in the end. That is all that remains in the final weeks, love and relationships.

5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.

This is a surprisingly common one. Many did not realise until the end that happiness is a choice. They had stayed stuck in old patterns and habits. The so-called ‘comfort’ of familiarity overflowed into their emotions, as well as their physical lives. Fear of change had them pretending to others, and to their selves, that they were content. When deep within, they longed to laugh properly and have silliness in their life again. When you are on your deathbed, what others think of you is a long way from your mind. How wonderful to be able to let go and smile again, long before you are dying.

Life is a choice. It is YOUR life. Choose consciously, choose wisely, choose honestly. Choose happiness

The last journey

Last journey

To cremate or burial? Does this matter ?  Ashes to ashes , dust to dust . The end is the same and why do we need to decide ? After death , there should no more feelings . It is just a mindset problem and a fear factor.

Fear is the reason for many inhibitions. It can leads to a lot of imaginations and wrong interpretation and judgements.
To beat fear , we should use critical thinking in analyzing a belief or some advise or myth.
To do critical thinking, it needs time and guts to face the problem which sometimes have its own logics and reasonings.

If someone were to preach or persuade you to concur with their belief or something illogical , have the courage to speak up and express your thoughts and belief. Don't justify  your lack of thinking by saying that we have no time to think about it. The easiest is to follow without thinking or with false hopes. Speak up and be heard and make sure your questions are answered convincingly before making a decisions. All important decisions needs ample time from yourself and don't be lazy and silly about it.

In heaven or Nirvana. ?

In Heaven or Nirvana ?

My Sister in law was called by the Lord two days ago. Maybe he is heaven so they say. Nobody is sure about the existence of heaven.

In all religions, the promise of heaven is there but nobody actually have been to heaven. Otherwise , the religion will be the mother of all religions. Until this present day, it is just a myth .
Many billions has died before me and no one came back to give testimony of the existence of heaven or Nirvana. They are talks and hearsay but there is no solid evidence of such existence.

It is not a bad hope as it is something comfortable and full of hope. Why do we fear death ? The main reason is that we do not know what come after death ? Whether we re-birth or vanished forever ? One life time or many life times. Nobody knows . Different religion promised different things and this is the confusion.

Nevertheless . I think the final set off show be grateful and decent . I am attending the wake of my sister in law at Nirvana memorial hall and even thought it is an expensive and commercialized , the dignity of the dead is guaranteed .

Giving

We are all takers rather than givers. That is basic greed in our human nature. It is natural . Giving takes a lot of effort and courage. We have to overcome ourself first.

When we give, we ended up less and we fear we have not enough. It is a foolish thought . There is always enough for us. When we decide to give , we give and that is it. Do not think and decide later. Your demon in you will change your mind.

When we give, there is a feeling of parting something we have and we are comfortable now. In most of the cases, it is only a fraction of what we have. Strangely, if you break your mind set and give, there is something good coming back. It could be in mutli-fold.

Nowadays, Micro soft owner bill gates give away billions , the facebook owner also giving billions to charity and set up a fund. Warren Buffet also give away billions and also set up a trust fund.  Those filthy rich people are feeling that giving away could be a blessing in disguise. Some for the preservation of the climate and environment and fight against AIDS.

There is a saying " a new horizon begins after moving past fear ".  You have to take the first step and beat the fear of having less. If you break through that line, everything will come back to you . So, let go fear and reach for a new  horizon.

Take the first step  and give and you will get your returns in many folds in whatever ways.

Laughter and happiness

Laughter

When we are happy , we laugh and feel happy about it. How about we laugh to make ourself happy? It is rediculous. But why not ?

It is simple. We watch a funny film or read a funny article or talk to a funny friend . We can change our mood by doing these things I have suggested above.

They are people who loves watching sad movies or sing sad love songs , it is to ooen their tap of emotions . They make them self cry and release their emotions . They feel good about them selves after the crying . It is exactly what I say above. You used the certain occasions or situation to change your emotions and let go off the hindrance which block your emotions and change it around.

We can make ourself happy when we are sad. It is our choice. But, sometimes we keep our self in a sad mood for a reason and we feel it is right to do it. We punished our self to feel good after that.

Just be aware of our actions and remained happy and gay.

In a traffic jam

In a trafic jam

What do you do when you are caught in jam and no way to move or escape ? Relax lah. Don't focus on the jam and do whatever you want to take care of yourself.

When you are alone , you are actually with yourself and the person with you is the most important person in your life.
When you are moving around and with other people , the person you is keeping quiet and is very supportive of you. When you slow or caught in a jam, you should spend quality with him.
Care for him and talk to him and be a good listener to him.

A lot of people is disturbed by the jam and busy scolding the outside people and stressed out themselves with anger and bitterness. Why are you stressing yourself when you have lost the control ? Silly ideas. It is only hurting your own self.

Calm your mind and be aware of the situation you are in and learn to understand that there is nothing you can do but just to wait. Often it is the thought which makes us confused and angry either is with ourself or outsiders.  Angry against ourself for coming into a jam or at others for making the jam. The thought itself makes us frustrated and upset. Yet we cannot do anything about the jam. But we can do something for ourself. We can take care of our body and mind. We are having quality time with ourself and we can travel onwards to know ourself better and be a better friend with our inner self. Learn how to dance in the rain.

Just remember be alone is never a lone as we are with ourself which is the most important person around.

Gua Sa ( Ext )

Last sunday, after a 5 hours traveling from KL to Penang , I had a Gua Sa treatment and it was so refreshing , light and enjoyable. It is highly recommendable after a tiring day or when you are suffering from a flu or heat stroke.  Enjoy it, fellas.

Scraping Therapy
A revolutionary healing art that really works for you! Scaring Therapy, known as Gua Sha in China for over a thousand year, is a healing art based on Traditional Chinese Medicine and used throughout Asia.
How does Scraping Therapy work?
The Scraping Therapy is used to release the body of blood stagnation. Blood stagnation is considered to be the cause of many diseases in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine). To visualize this, you may want to compare the water from a running stream versus the water in a still stagnant pond. The stagnant pond will be full of gunk, green moss and other growths while the running stream will have clear water. Our entire blood circulation is very similar to this. When the blood is not flowing properly, it starts to become stagnant and creates an environment more suitable for disease.

This is why Scraping is such a useful technique. It can quickly release blockages in your body caused by stagnant blood. This is because it mimics sweating and promotes body fluid circulation which helps to normalize cellular metabolic processes and release toxic waste from your deep cellular tissues. It also increases blood and qi circulation to help oxidize your cells as well as nourish them.

The Benefits
Scraping has two main functions where it both nourishes and detoxifies:
1st, the stroke action used to release petechiae to the surface of the skin, forces more blood and oxygen to the area treated which helps to nourish those cells.

2nd, the red spots on the skin become a byproduct that signals the body to do a sweep up of the area so that it eliminates both the dead blood cells as well as other toxins that surfaced towards the skin during the Scraping process.
After a treatment, the patient often has immediate relief from pain, headaches, fever, chills, cough, chest pains, nausea, stiffness, etc. After a series of treatments Scraping is able to release enough toxins to allow the body to find inner balance.

Besides curing diseases, scrape therapy may build one's body, prevent diseases and help lose weight. Under the stimulation of scrape therapy, more blood serum will be produced to improve the body's immunity.

Process
Before the process, daub the skin with oil. Then scrape the skin with a scraper (special scraping equipments). Always scrape the skin in the same direction and continue until the skin is red and purple marks appear( indicating the locations of sick muscles ). The intensity, the speed, duration, depth of the action, and the location of scrape, all have direct impact over the curative effects.
No damaged for the skin and the tissues with the scraper. You will only feel a very little bit pain of blockage tissues while scraping ---- no pain among the healthy tissues. Although there are some red spots on the skin after the treatment, As a matter of fact, the red spots mean some toxins or wastes coming out from the sick tissues. it’s quit different from the bruise or hemorrhage and the red spots will fully disappear within 3 to 7 days due to the promoted metabolism.

What does the color of the Red Spot(sha) indicate?
Very Light Colored Sha -------- Blood Deficiency
Fresh Red Sha ---------------------- Recent Penetration
Purple or Black Sha------------ Long Term Blood Stasis
Brown Sha --------------------------- Blood may be dry
Dark Red Sha ----------------May indicate heat in blood

After Scraping Therapy, you should keep warm (avoiding wind,
or sudden change in temperature, cold shower as well as cold drink ) to ensure your body’s boosted metabolism and self-healing process working well. Stretching is recommended but not a heavy workout on the day of treatment.
In some cases, some people may have the go-better reactions ( like feeling sore, tired or even sick ) for a few days. Then afterwards, as the red spots fading, you can feel the improvement throughout body, especially the problems treated.
How long does it take the petechiae to fade?
The Red (sha) usually fades within 3 to 10 days. If it takes longer to fade, this often indicates poor blood circulation and the practitioner should provide you with further advice on how to improve your overall circulation. With continuous Scraping therapy, the red spot will start to fade faster which will be a good sign since it’s an indication of better blood circulation.
Who needs the Scraping Treatment
People who has pain, aches, tenderness, or tension in the muscles. scraping therapy can prevent the common cold, flu, bronchitis, asthma, as well as any other chronic disorders that involve the congestion of blood and qi.

In the area of pain-relief, scraping therapy is unequalled. Hence, we offer this treatment to all those who suffer pain from each parts of the body (head, neck, shoulders, back, legs, and joints ), and RSI (Repetitive Stress Injury) , sciatica and other nerve pain, migraine, rheumatism and many other disorders or dysfunctions.

How often should Scraping Therapy be performed?
  • Be performed once or twice a week, continue 3- 4 weeks for a treatment that will have better results.
  • For health care be recommended once a month.

Note:
Make sure after a treatment you allow your body to rest in order to get the full detox benefits. This means no drugs, alcohol, sex, fasting, binging, hard labor, strenuous exercises, etc. for the rest of the day.

Also, make sure you drink lots of warm water after the treatment as well as the next couple of days to keep your body well hydrated so that it can properly eliminate toxins released during the treatment.
Scraping Therapy can assist with the following:
Cough and Dyspnea: Bronchitis, Asthma, Emphysema
Digestive Disorders
Food Poisoning
Fevers
Fatigue caused by heat-stroke
Gynecological Disorders
Headaches
Muscle and Tendon Injuries
Sluggish Blood Circulation
Stiffness, Pain, Immobility
Sun-strokes
Urinary Problems
Excessive sweating
Excess Flem
Jaundice
Chest Pains

However, you should be ready for the pain from the treatment because it will get down to the right points ----- the roots or triggers of the targeting problems. As we all know, “ Pain is the warnings about the problems “. To overcome the obstacles of a cure, you have to learn to work with it. No Pain No Gain ? ----- yes,
NO PAIN NO GAIN !

Messy blue monday

After a whole day and night's raining in Penang, the day opens up with a messy and deeper blue monday.  One staff applied for leave while another time off and my wife was having flu and fever.  There was  a bit of rain in the morning and it turns into a bright day, when I touched the mid span of the Penang bridge.

The traveling to Kl on the weekend ot see my sister in law was a tiring journey and after seeing her, I was depressed even more. Her conditions have deteriorated and her case is getting worse.

On the evening, I had a dinner with a US relative. She was recently divorced and after that she went on a diet and shake off 23 pounds and she was addicted to marathon and she looks happy and fit.  What a contrast between these two relatives. One dying and another enjoying a second spring in life.

Nevertheless, it was raining heavily last night and was like pouring and makes my trip to May's cafe and back very messy and tiring.

The thought of my dying sister in law have been on my mind and I have to calm my mind and not to be caught in this depressing time. It was amazing that I could drive 5 hours on saturday and drove back to Penang for another 5 hours on Sunday.  It was not so taxing as before when I could be totally drain off my energy and could be sleeping like a log.  I could regain my energy after two hours rest during my body massage on Sunday. It was amazing and maybe it could be the nuskin supplements that I have been taking these few months.

Well, I have to settle down fast in my job and bring back my normal working life to live on.  The show must go on.

The irony of life

The irony of life

When I read Steve Jobs last words about having wealth but stricken with cancer and yet money cannot get a solution for him to replace his sufferings and pain, I have actually seen a lot of such irony happening to people close to me.

Yes, my sister in law is in the same situation as what is happening to Steve. Her husband spend a lot of money to try to cure her but her conditions deteriorated by the day.  The Cancer have been eating away her health and she gets thinner everyday.

Her recent operation to remove the cancerous growth failed and I think she has withdrawn into a denial mode. She seems to be upset with all thing happening to her and refuse to speak or response. Yes, I think it is time for her family members to tell her to let go and must not give her too much hope.

Letting go is very difficult as the attachment of the family have been too long and the family bond is still strong. The happening is too sudden and my sister in law is too young to die. But. It has to be done . She has to pass on peacefully and closed all the chapters with the family and friends. Let her soul rest in peace. Everyone have to come to terms with life.

I have advise my niece to read up the book called " Chasing daylight ". It is about a top executive in a big 4 accounting firm coming in term with cancer at an early stage and prepare himself to face death and passes on. It was done in a very logical and professional way.

We hope the best for my sister in law but she needs to know the reality of life . Someone have to do the job and it is better to be fast.

Greed, the reason for restlessness

Is my mind contented with what I have ? Contentment bring happiness and a calm mind. Can we fulfill all our cravings so that we can be contented ? No, our cravings are always revolving and disturbin gour mind.

When we have a little, we want more and after getting a sligthly more, we want more and finally , we want it all. This is the human character. How do we contain our unfulfilled cravings or greed ? When we have a land, we want to build a house, when we have a house, we want a bungalow and when we have a bungalow , we want a palace. Bigger and bigger.  High and the highest,  wide and the widest and more until all. Yes, look at ourselve in the mirror and we can see our cravings if you notice or focus.

When we get old, we touch up with powers , comestics and whatever we can find to make us younger and more attractive.  This is also part of cravings. So, greek is not about money or quantity only but there are many aspects of greed and some are more stutle.

How do we contained our cravings ? Yes, we control the mind and the heart. Sometimes , we blame our for the greed and we use the phase " greek of the heart ". But the heart is not a thinking and and there is no activities except to move the heart or pump the heart. Often we make our heart to feel and if we have more, we feel good. The stirring force is the mind.  The thinking machine which influenced the deal and teh attachment.

So if we want to make ourself contented, we work on our mind and calm it down or cut it down in zize. The smaller the image, the weaker the greed or discontentment. Cut down the wild thoughts going through our head and make it smaller so that more can be accept.

The mind linked to the heart and the body. Control the mind and you will control the body and heart. You cannot control the heart and body for the mind. It is only one way.from the mind down.

Wild imaginations

Wild imaginations

Our imaginations depends on our mind whether it is tame or running wild or whether it is in an active or passive stage. Out mind keep evolving and thoughts will go through our heads in seconds.

Some studies showed that there is about 50,000 thoughts going through our mind. In and out . Just imagine you switch on and off on your electric switch , it will blow your switch or the light bulbs linking to the switch. For your mind , it will get tired and it also drain the energy from the body. You will look tired , exhausted and drained . What kind of life ? Boring, passive and destructive.

So, we know our problem and we have to fix it . It is a simple solution, just reduce the number of thoughts going through our mind . By so doing , we will regain the freshness and our energy and our life.  It is as simple as that .

We have to train our mind every available moments and focus on the present and take away the thoughts in our mind. How to focus on the moment . Tell your mind the past is gone and the future is yet to come and what we have is the present moment.
If we focus, our thoughts will be less and less. It is not easy but teach our mind to also focus on our breath if we have nothing to focus on. This will train our mind to be obedient .

It is nothing difficult and we have to pace ourself at the beginning and it will get better and better.

If you are in a place at home or at work , find a quiet corner to do the exercise . Once a while , do it in an open field and we can enjoy the good chi or energy from nature.

Go and try it.

Face of death

Face of death

I have seen the face of death a few times before. The pain , the frailness and the hope all mixed in the face. It is an image of confusion. It really awakes my awareness of death.

We cannot avoid death. The rich, the famous and the powerful have gone in the same way without exceptions. Nobody can buy time . Not the saintly, the evil and the commoner. Each one have to go at a specific time. A designated departure.

I was looking at my dying SIL with cancer. The look has deteriorated so much after a few weeks as the Cancer eat away the health of the body. Two weeks ago she could open her eyes and talk but yesterday , she could not open her eyes and talking took so much effort from her. She is a total wreck and is only the skin covering the bones on certain part of the bodies. The disease have been aggressive . So many  similar memories surged across my mind . It strikes the core of fear in me as the patient struggle to herself alive.

Tomorrow, she is going for an operation to remove part of the Cancer cell which could give her some hope to fight back despite all the risk . It is a bold step and instead of hoping , it is better to take a chance. Sometimes, ago I told the story of two mouse. Each one of them ran into a hole chased by a cat. One waited and took the chance to run out and survive as the cat dozed off while another mouse stayed behind and die of hunger. So, doing the same thing and expecting a different result is madness  as I said before in my previous article.

We will be praying for her and whatever result, it is destiny.

Feeling grateful

To be alive , each day is a blessing and we should feel grateful.  Grateful for the additional one day of life.  Most of the time, we take it for granted and do not treasure the day as we have the years.

I always remind myself , life is uncertain as a slight twist of an event could change our life forever. We don't have to wait for that moment to happen and we can live as if today is our last day on earth.  Isn't this thinking correct ? Why are we waiting for another day to live the life we choose.  Madness isn't it ?

There is another saying " when fear ends, that is when life begins". Again , this is very true. We are restrict by fear . The fear of dying, the fear of our boss, the fear of not having enough for retirement and the list goes on and on forever. It is so funny that we stop doing risky things and stop spending our money even if we have enough . The fear is imaginery.

Like steve jobs say " when we have gather enough wealth to live our life , we should turn to the things that we want to do or to live out our passions " But, how to define " enough " .  Living a simple life  or an expensive life demands different amount.  So , I don't quite agreed that we should do the things we like or live out our passions after we accummulate enough wealth. As I say " when is it enough/" . I would like to think that enough wealth is not the criteria but rather living happily all the time and doing the things we like is most important irrespective of money.  We must find the time to do it.

Time waits for no one as the days rushes by. Why wait until we cannot walk before we go traveling ? Why wait for us to have enough money to eat the foods we like ?  We have to do whatever we want as soon as possible if not today for tomorrow will never come,.

I have seen people who is reluntant to eat when they are young as they want to accummulate their wealth and when they have accummulated enough , they cannot eat because they have gone old. Does this equation hold waters ?  Supid and silly and bad judgement.  But , this the normal thinking of billions before me and after me.  This is the establishment.

Body massage

There are so many forms of massage  ie Thai, Indian, Bali , Chinese ,  Japanese, etc.  Is massage good for our body ? Does it has any health impact or just a leisure.  Recently, I have been indulging in the back massage and I feel good after a good rub or massage .  Some massage have this aromatic smell which makes your body and mind relax as the massaging process is on going.

For those doing the desk job or under stress, a good massage will enhance the blood circulation.  Just imagine sitting on your butt for 8 to 10 hours with minimum movement, the butt is not only sore but is compressed against the seat and with a good massage , it will get the nerves and the blood circulation moving.

Under stress, the stress goes into the joints and body parts and it gets stored in the muscles or the nerves and this gives aches and pain if this stress persist for a long period of time. The rub and stretching will release the stress and we feel better. This is what I feel when the massage is over.

For those people who go for foot massage, it is to excite the respective large organs in our body as it is believed that the nerve ends to these vital organs ends in the base of our foot.  In order, to motivate or activate them, the pressure to these nerve endings will send massage to this vital organs and massaging them is like massaging the vital organs. By exciting or massaging these organs, it will make it healthy and well.

A more relax body will bring a more relax and healthy mind and this is a strong connection between the two. A healthy mind brings a healthy body and a healthy body supports a healthy mind. If you have a tense up and hard body, it will only bring pain and discomfort which will affect the peace of the mind.

8 full-body benefits for getting your regular massages- besides feeling great

YOU LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR REGULAR MASSAGE. Maybe it relaxes you. Maybe it energizes you. Maybe it helps relieve the tension in your back. Whatever it is, you know you like it. But massage has more benefits than you probably realize.
"Regular massage keeps the body working at optimal levels," says C.G. Funk, VP of industry relations and product development for Massage Envy. "It keeps people well-physically and emotionally."

Here are eight interesting benefits of massagefor your body.
1. Fighting Fibromyalgia Symptoms Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition characterized by muscle pain, fatigue and tenderness, according to the American College of Rheumatology. Symptoms can be brought on or exacerbated by stress and lack of sleep. Frequent Fibromyalgia massages have been found to help relieve stress as well as alleviate muscle pain, discomfort and spasms in patients suffering from fibromyalgia. In fact, it's one of the most effective complementary treatments, according to the National Fibromyalgia Association, which reports that about 40 percent of sufferers have used it as part of their treatment plan.

2. Easing Surgical Effects Postsurgical rehabilitation is one of the most important aspects of undergoing any procedure. And massage can help get you back on your feet by increasing circulation, relaxing muscles, and improving joint movement and flexibility. It's even been found to promote tissue regeneration and reduce postsurgical adhesions and swelling, according to the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals.

3. Improving Mood It's no secret that massage can relax you and make you feel good mentally. But did you know that it may even help treat anxiety and depression? According to a review by the Touch Research Institute at the University of Miami School of Medicine, massage is able to lower the body's level of cortisol, a stress hormone, by as much as 53 percent. Massage also appears to increase the feel-good hormones serotonin and dopamine.

4. Headache Relief Approximately 28 million Americans suffer from migraine headaches, according to the National Headache Foundation. Often, migraines are triggered or exacerbated by stress and poor sleep. In a study published in the Annals of Behavioral Medicine, researchers found that participants who received massages had better quality sleep and fewer migraines than participants who didn't. Effects even lasted up to three weeks after therapy ended. Massage therapy can help relieve headaches if you suffer from them.

5. Lowering Blood Pressure About 72 million Americans have high blood pressure, which can lead to stroke and heart attack. A study in the journal Biological Research for Nursing found that people who had at least three 10-minute back massages a week lowered their blood pressure more than people who spent the same amount of time just relaxing.

6. Increasing Flexibility Whether you're an avid athlete who is constantly putting stress on your knees or a middle-aged adult who has lost some range of motion in your hips, staying flexible is key. Massage can help you maintain flexibility and range of motion by working the muscles, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments, and by stimulating the production and retention of the natural lubricants between the connective tissue fibers.

7. Breaking Back Pain While back pain is one of the most common reasons people seek massage, many are not aware of just how helpful a treatment it is. In fact, a study in theAnnals of Internal Medicine found that massage therapy was more effective at relieving back pain than other therapies such as acupuncture and spinal modification. It even appeared to reduce the use of painkillers by 36 percent.

8. Curbing Carpal Tunnel Carpal tunnel is a painful condition in which the median nerve that connects the forearm and hand becomes pinched at the wrist, according to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke. Symptoms include burning, tingling or numbness in the palm, thumb and middle fingers. It can also lead to difficulty forming a fist or gripping small objects. Treatments usually consist of medication, wrist braces and surgery. But a study in the Journal of Bodywork and Movement reported that carpal tunnel patients receiving regular massage had less pain, reduced symptoms and improved grip strength.

Sleep

Lately, I could find myself wondering how to sleep early.  I will be on my bed at 9.30pm and I could suddenly dozed off but I wake up again after slightly pass 12 midnight.  Then I will struggle to make myself sleep.  The harder I try , the more elusive is my sleep. How can I have a good sleep so that I could wake up early morning and be fresh for work.

I find that if I quiet down my mind and bring my mind to the alpha level, I could sleep again and to quiet down my mind, I turned to mediation.  How do you do in meditation ?

There are many forms of meditation and one of the technique is to concentrate on your breath. If I have an objective to sleep by practicing meditation , then it is not truly meditation. In meditation, there can not be a motive but it is purely meditation in the present and let our mind still and letting our body go and relax.

We have to care for our body and not to assert it or force it to quiet down.  It has to be in a natural stage and let our mind drfit and quiet down by itself. We cannot push, rush it or force it .  It has to drift and find its own level at its own time. It is just the ripple on the water, it needs its own time to quiet down and to be still.

If we continued to hold on to the mind like our hands holding the water, it will never be still unless you put the glass of water on to the table . let go of it and  let it settles down by itself.

In a proper meditation , it should not be a focus to achieve something and it should be free of any motive and agenda. After finding the level, our sleep will automatically come and we can dooze off for the rest of the night easily.

If you quiet down your mind to a certain level, it will induced sleep without any effort.

An eye opener - truth of life (ext)

Steve Jobs’ Last Words -
I reached the pinnacle of success in the business world. In others’ eyes, my life is an epitome of success.
However, aside from work, I have little joy. In the end, wealth is only a fact of life that I am accustomed to.
At this moment, lying on the sick bed and recalling my whole life, I realize that all the recognition and wealth that I took so much pride in, have paled and become meaningless in the face of impending death.
In the darkness, I look at the green lights from the life supporting machines and hear the humming mechanical sounds, I can feel the breath of god of death drawing closer…
Now I know, when we have accumulated sufficient wealth to last our lifetime, we should pursue other matters that are unrelated to wealth…
Should be something that is more important:
Perhaps relationships, perhaps art, perhaps a dream from younger days
Non-stop pursuing of wealth will only turn a person into a twisted being, just like me.
God gave us the senses to let us feel the love in everyone’s heart, not the illusions brought about by wealth.
The wealth I have won in my life I cannot bring with me. What I can bring is only the memories precipitated by love.
That’s the true riches which will follow you, accompany you, giving you strength and light to go on.
Love can travel a thousand miles. Life has no limit. Go where you want to go. Reach the height you want to reach. It is all in your heart and in your hands.
What is the most expensive bed in the world? Sick bed…
You can employ someone to drive the car for you, make money for you but you cannot have someone to bear the sickness for you.
Material things lost can be found. But there is one thing that can never be found when it is lost – Life.
When a person goes into the operating room, he will realize that there is one book that he has yet to finish reading – Book of Healthy Life.
Whichever stage in life we are at right now, with time, we will face the day when the curtain comes down.
Treasure Love for your family, love for your spouse, love for your friends.
Treat yourself well. Cherish others.

Zombies

Yeah. Dead man walking . Living in a illusionary world, a fake world and a mad happening. Living like a zombie.

With all the rush , fast eating , running around, living with a fake smile and struggling with a dreadful living way while precious time keep passing by. We are not aware of the passing of time while running around in circles until we drop dead.

If this is not a zombie life , then what is it ? Looking blur and  wondering thoughts and passing time.  What a combination and why are we not responding .

Dog eat dog , longing for corruptions  and greed , crave , wonder and absolute mis- use of power . Fake smiling and greeting , living in a unbelievable world , illusionary , ever changing and purposeless life.

With all these symptoms , isn't it like a zombie. Walking with eyes openblank mind, eating with no taste , hearing all the nonsense, talking and not listening ,  seeing and bearing all the untruth and start to ask why and what for no reasons and no sense.

Namaste.

What others do ....

Sometimes  I wonder why we are so great ? Personally , of course.  When I was on the road, one vehicle came into my path and I almost accidentally clash into his car. I cursed and swear.  But , many times before, I have also change lane and caused the same problem for other drivers and I think I am right as I am rushing for my work . I can really justify it and make my actions not only seems good but a correct move.

This type of arguement has happen many times. What other people have done is wrong but if I do the same thing with my own intention or agenda , I am always right.  Is this the way, life logic works ?

We never thought about the other driver's intention or his reason for trying to move faster ahead and even for the same reason, we still feel that their actions is always wrong if it affects us in any way especially endangering our life.

With this logic, human beings are very selfish and they only think of themselves.  Once, I had an accident . One car reverse into my car and we agreed to claim insurance after making a polic report.  We were supposed to proceed to the police station.  After arriving at the police station, I could see the other car, so I proceed to submit my case to the traffic police.  After a few days, I went to buy the report and I was told by the police that the other party have reported that I have clash into his car and damage the back of his car and I have to pay a penalty for that. I was really upset and I learned that there are people who can twist the facts to achieve their end. I was asked by the inspector to pay the fine. This is the true and I have checked with a few friends and some of them concur with me on such incidents.

Everyman is for himself  and if not, the heaven will destroy and the earth will split apart. Oh ! my God.

The last mile

Our journey in life runs into thousands of miles. One mile for one day as the last mile comes along , it maybe too soon or too much delay.  The last mile seems coming along too fast or too slow, it becomes very precious.  It goes by the saying " too little is so much"..

If we have been flying through the miles in our life, we could not seem much of it.  Too fast to see the details but covering a long distance or traveling slow and seeing more detials in a shorter distance. This is a choice or sometimes , it is the lack of awareness to choose which is better.

By taking short stops or break, we can awake the consciousness or awareness in us and we can make better judgement and live a meaningful life. It is not matter of the miles but the steps which keep us in the present and our awareness.

Why do we keep running ? Everything is so blur and everything we eat is so tasteless. At the end of the miles, we live longer but no wiser.  All is blur and have no meaning.  No good memories which is often what is left for us to cling to.

Hopefully, it is not by the dying bed that we got to know this wisdom or coming to be aware of the last mile. What can we do by then but to live or die with regrets. Everything has to end.

The whole outside world is just an illusion but what we have in us or feel in us is real. When we try to look at things in different angles, it has a different image and it looks different . This is the real perception in the outside world. Ever changing and in illusion. The feel of an object is different each time we touch it.

What is there if we are gone ?  Nothing but the illusions continue with or without us.

Namaste.

The dying

It is such a pityful state when a person is dying of cancer in a hospital and is fed morphine every 4 hours to avoid the pain as the cancer cells eat into the bones and muscles.  For those with stomach cancer, no a single drop of water or food can be fed throgh the mouth.

Everyday, we could see the patient or the dying person fade or waste away and yet nothing can be done. The hope is only for a miracle from GOD or our creator and it is through praying. Be it Jesus for Goddess of Mercy or Budda.  This is the only hope.

There are stories of people cured by prayer even at the last stage. It is only a hope as the oncologist will tell you this is the end and you have to prepare for the ending. There is no escape.

Many a times, the people close to the dying blame themselves for not doing the best or could have done certain treatment earlier or could have spend more time with the dying. The doctor keep telling the people close to the dying whether the extension of the sick person's life for a few days or one week is better or let the dying go peacefully.  The extension of a few days could caused so much pain and suffering to the patient and could it be worth it.  Is this what we consider the best for the dying ? If it is a foregone conclusion, it is better to face the fact and let the dying go on to their next journey.

In this case, the prayer is for the dying to live longer or to go peacefully ? Won't it be better to leave to Nature to decide for the dying. If nature wants him or her to stay longer, then let it be . So, why need to disturb nature if it is a foregone conclusion.

For the doctor will advise to make the patient as comfortable as possible and let nature decide the timing of the death. Even if there is a miracle or not . We should not interfere with nature. However, some people think that we have to find a cure until the last moment.  Is this for their selfish need ? Or for these people to feel good ?

Another thing is the feeling of not spending enough time for the dying ? Why wait until the dying days to fulfill such passion. In normal time, we should do what is best , that is to spend more time with the people close to us and not to wait for the last moment to spend the time. Isn't it nonsensical ?
Such kind of feeling is disturbing and  full of confusion.
