Yesterday, I invited my wife to Gurney Plaza for a show after a stop at Costplus in Pulau Tikus to instal my car radio's receiver. The traffic was heavy on the road to GP but suprisingly, there was not so much people at GP and parking was easily.
I have suggested to watch the flim" The Four" but the starting time of the movie was abit late and we choose to see the " The Dark Knight Rising". It is a move about Batman saving his hometown. The usual heroic stuff. It was quite interesting and entertaining.
Before the movie, we have about 30 minutes and both of us walk to the Seng Heng Electrical Shop at the same floor and we just browse around for the latest electrical gagets. Finally, we ended at the Iphone sector and we checked out the latest Samsung Iphone and galaxy Pad.
Samsung Galaxy 2 came in three sizes like in the garments industry ie large , medium and small. The pad size is 7 1/2 inches, 5.7 inches and 5 inches. It was feather weight and the screen resolution was much higher. It has as many apps as in the Apple Ipad and it is as pretty as the Apple Pad if not more petite. It is so handy and entertaining. Technology have improved so much and so fast.
Next , I went over to the Iphone section. The sales person show me the Samsung Iphone S3. Again, it came in three sizes . It was beautifully designed and so light and handy. I took out my Apple Iphone 2 and compared the look. It was so different. The Apple Iphone 2 looks like a sixty years old gaget and the Samsung Iphone 3 was like a SYT ( Sweet Young Thing) at 18 years old. Now wonder, Samsung is giving so much competition to Apple. I think it is a matter of time, Samsung will wallop Apple and overtake it as the number one Iphone or Ipad. In fact, it is happening now.,
These electronic gagets are like fashon nowadays. It changes so fast like changing your dress or shirts every year. It is very freightening and this consumer product encourage spending as it had bcame a fad. A neccesity.
In the Batman movie, a batman mobil was shown ferring the Batman around his city while combating the bad guys. This is another piece of technology which is now under develpment and it will not be long that you can see flying cars above you and it will become another norm or fad.
Life is changing everyday and new things will continued to be available to the consumers. One thing for sure, this development in technology will isolate us more from the society as a human being. The slogan for Samsung is that their gagets are make for " humans". Yes, no doubt it promotes connectivity but on another aspect, it isolate physical contacts. We will be more " robot" than "humans".
