Be fair is subjective.

A fair assessment is very subjective and it varies from person to person. What is fair to your perception, may not be fair from other's view point. So, how do we measure fairness ? Do we need to adjust our assessment with other people's judgement or are we blind to their suggestions?

Basically, we must follow our heart and assess the situation with an open heart and give points for job obligation we imposed on other people. For example, if we give more responsibility to a person, we should accord him or her the right benefits or the pay package. This is only logical and fair. If we overload a person with a heavy responsibility and do not recognize their contribution, then these people will not be happy and some will suffer in silence or some will choose to leave their employment or your company.

Do we have sex discrimination? Do we pay more to a male than to a female? Some people said that the male need to support his family and we should pay him more. But, what about the females ? Don't they also have a family or themselves to support? This view of male must be paid more than female is an out of date notion. We should look at meritocracy. If the female can perform better than the male , we should pay them more than the male. What is wrong having the whole company of female working for us ? Aren't they human ? However, it is sad to notice that people are still having this old fashion thinking that male should be paid more than female? It is getting very strange. From my experience working with female apart from female going on maternity leaves, they are performing as good as the male ? But, if the job involved manual jobs and strength, then it is a different matter.

We have to be objective and not subjective in our judgement and open our mind and heart to assess a situation and make a fair judgement. Irrespective of sex, we should promote fairness based on meritocracy.

Syabas to all the ledies...

Namaste.
