The day the sky fell down .... my feelings

Yesterday night,  my sink as I watch the GE13 election result as the vote tallying was going on.  At one point, Pakatan candidates  was leading and at another time, BN candidates were leading and this switching goes on as the results were read out  by the news casters. A few incidence of bad vote counting especially at the last moment, the result was unexpected.  What can we think of ?  Ow, there must be abuse or funny plays going on.  Our mind keep wondering as we get upset.

Finally, the final tally came and the BN Government maintain the lead and declare the winner. This is when the sky fell down on me.  Final tally 133 against 89 , only a mere 43 votes and if splilt into two, it is only 22 votes. The Pakatan won the popularity vote but lost in the election.  What happen ? There were many cases of marginal wins and it should be probe into to ensure transparency. We have to know why we die right ? We are only convinced by facts and transparency.

Yeah, the opposition parties are now trying to check on the 25 or 30 seats to ensure that the voting is fair and accurate.  But, this reconcilation actions have to been done fast and convincingly. Otherwise, the country will not have a Government.

My heart have been with the Pakatan because I agreed with their agenda of doing away with race politics and curruption.  There have been many cases of reported corruptions and yet , it remained rampant and without any solution in sight.  Corruption if it is not wipe out  could caused the whole country to collapse .  Corruption is like causing the foundation of a building to weaken and collapse or can be compared to chemicals which have been poured into the tree roots to weaken it before it fell down by itself. Corruption is not only monetary corruptions but like the lack of impartiality of the legal legistures or the asking of cash from the public by the civil servants and police which could hinder or alter the actions of these civil servant to resolved cases by their decision without going through the proper procedures.

Yes, there is still a marginal fighting chance but if we fail , we should stay and fight another day. It does not matter how long it will take, the final truth shall prevail. The evil must be driven out from our systems. It is our duty which often conflict with our desire or personal options which clearly show that we can move away and let others to handle the problems. Walking away is easy but at the end of the day, we will be regretting that we should stay and make a difference.  Never run away from a fight especially a dirty fight.

I could see the rise of a new crop of leaders as the old guards retire or move on.  There are so  many good candidates in Pakatan to support the cause in the post -Anwar era.  In the Chinese wisdom,  heros shall be created during the turmoil or troubles and these people will be great leaders, good people and a good team to drive the cause forward.

Namaste.
