Tiredness from within

I remember a chapter from Ajahn Chad's book where he told us that he meditate in front of a corpse and he was fearful on the first night. Subsequently, he was able to still his mind and control his fear. For some people to be able to live calmly and passionately, they look for the obituary page to remind themselves the impermanence of life and to live in awareness of once fragile existence.

Yes, I have spend five days during the wake of my FIL and during the five days, I could notice the change in the face of my FIL. It had rot gradually  and the color of his skin change to a pale complexion. The sight of the change in his body was really stressful and it triggers our thoughts about life and death. The fierce struggle within us , between  negativity and positivity and the frequent changes in our thoughts, quietly drain our energy and like a silent killer lurk inside our mind and body. You maybe doing nothing strenuous but yet , you feel completely drained at the end of the whole process. This is because of the struggle within ourselves which used up alot of our energy.

There are people who gets into a deep level of depression because of this silent process which is hurting the mind and body. It needs only a trigger to reach the tipping point and we will sink deeper and deeper.  So, it is best to still the mind and release the stress through some form of exercise. We have to break away from the environment which constantly remind us the event and move out of the box.  A fresh environment will give us a good break and a new start.  We should make it a point to take a break and away from the negativity.

Life is fragile and life is hard but the choice is yours to change it.

Namaste.
