A hectic christmas break

For the past five days, it had been very hectic starting with a trip to KL to visit the new cementery of my SIL at Nirvana , Shah Alam , Selangor. We drove down from Penang on the last wednesday and attende4 a gathering in the nite in the memory of my SIL and it was a gathering of 30 members ,covering relatives, friends and the christian pasters.  It lasted until 10pm , starting from 7pm.

On the next day, we visted the cementery of my SIL at Nirvana and we were taken on a trip to visit the cementery comprising of the buddhist lots and christian lots. It was a massive place to rest the ashes of the dead.  At the Ming palace, there was a big statute of Buddha at the entrance and at the temple which have several stories , they offered may resting lots or "condos" for the ashes of the dead. The price hovers from a few thousands to tens of thousands depending on the facilities and place of the lots. This place gives dignity to the dead.  I was told that the Nirvana at Nilai was much better and offers an option for more resting palaces.  The set up of the place is a replica of a temple from China with beautiful landscaping.

After the visit to Nirvana , we proceed to have Bak Kut Teh at Klang but it was a disappointment as the taste was not comparable to the one in Penang. I was expecting a more tasteful meat.

We proceed to return to the home of my second SIL and we rested in the place and we went for dinner at night with a few friends and the food there was much better.

On Christmas day, we departed from KL at 8.30am and we traveled to Telok Intan to visit a relative in his oil palm estate and it took us about 3 hours to reach there and we had lunch at Telok Intan.  The small town is near a big river and offers the best seafood in the whole of Malaysia. The restaurant was an attap house and they offerred various fishes, prawns and veggie congees.  We had a stomach full of seafood before going to his home in the middle of an oil palm estate.  There is not much to see except miles and miles of oil palm.  We headed for Penang and it took us another 4 hours to reach penang and we reached Penang at 7pm and had a simpel dinner before reaching home at 9.30pm.  The traveling was so hectic and we absolutely tired.

For the weekend, I went to a hiking session and a body message  and a lunch and dinner at May's  and the following day, a yoga session and a trip to Balik Pulau for hakka food and a few trips to visit a few place in Penang at the request of my SIL.

It was a week of activities which is tiring and eventful. Now, I am back to a normal routine.

Namaste.
