Komtar walk - an inspiration

I was at Komtar today and on arriving , I managed to find a car park on the ground floor of the VIP parking level. The car park was much better now compared to the previous administration.  Although, it is still dark but the rubbish smell have disappear. To be fair, it has imporved a lot.

After parking, I walk to the first level  through the lobby fronting Maybank and on reaching the first level , there was a small stage in front of Popular book store. The event have just completed and I was told later by my barber that our CM, LGE have just finished his speech talking about the current political situation. It was jam packed as he was very well supported by the youngsters.

I took a walk through the ICT mall and I was very impressed with the changes there. It was formerly Lifestyle supermarket and now , it has been converted into many shoplots selling computer and computer related gagets and components. Previously, when the supermarket closed shop, it was gloomy, dirty and desserted.  What a change and I would like to congratulate the State Government for a job well done.

Walking further , the ICT mall was connect by a bridge which directly linked to 1st Avenue and it was bright and shinnng all the way and I have good feeling walking around and back to Komtar. The path was clean and brightly lighted up and it attracts a sizeable crowd. The improvement have given more avenues to the young people to do their business. If you see this changes , you will be convinced that there is a need to change to inspire more changes.  It is importance to break the stigma that Komtar is full of rats and dirt.

I have been an advocate of change, Any changes small or big , if it is better, then change. The small changes will inspire big change and you can see  that change can have a moving impact. It also have a snowballing impact and will trigger change in every aspect. Komtar is a very good example that good things will come with change.

Yes, I have heard that the LGE is abit arrogant and I think great leaders need to be firm and sometimes , it is mistaken for been arrogant. If we start to heard or consider all the options, it will take a  long time to achieve the desired results and so, there are cases that we have to do it and avoid talking about it too much. Otherwise, we will be members of NATO ( no action , talk only) .

In my previous articles, I have been talking about the changes in Penang from the current State Governmnet and so far, we can see improvement with our own eyes.  The property price have boom because of the cleanliness of the place, the good landscaping, better roads and traffic conrol, etc and etc. What is wrong with better property price ?  It is beyond the reach of the local people or the younger generation . So what , this is a challenge for them and in the meantime, there will be newer hosuing estate and more affordable housing .

Those critics or shameless opportunist can eat their heart out and continue to argue in their own perspective and hit out at changes. Of course, we have to live with disagreements and diversity but I plead them to open eyes and see for themselves all the goods that have came out from the changes in Penang.  Those people who sow good deeds will get good fruits whether in this world or the next.

Namaste.
