Too many cooks spoilted the soup

This is an English phrase that means if there are too many people deciding how the soup is to be cooked, the soup will end up as too salty, too sweet, too bitter or too smelly making the soup uneditable.  A nice soup will become poison and will eventually kill everyone or create a big mess.

If there are too many captains on a ship, the ship will be changing directions at every moment and will eventually sink , carrying everyone down with it.

I have seen many instances that there are people who do not care about their position and want to be a decision maker even though , he or she knows nothing about the pending problem.  Just a word or just a small action could change the result of a process. A little bit of salt or sugar by each other or some one, could make the soup too salty or too sweet.

This is the behaviour of some human beings who just want to contribute for the simple purpose of wanting to make some decision. Some people are just restless and just want to show that they want to do something or have their own opinion of things.

In anything we do or cook, people would have different taste and liking.  We cannot satisfy all the needs and requirements of all the people in our life.  There are many decisions in life which require our own decision and if we keep asking  for opinions, we will become confused and go mad.

Life is like that  " one man's meat is another man's poison" . there can never be one soluton for all problems like the roads leading to a destination. There are many options. Some is longer and some is shorter , some is bumpy and some is smooth. But once , we make the decision, we will need to bear the consequences. A decision comes with responsibility.

Namaste.
