Back to the basics

In life, we often wonder far and wide and living in an illusive world or a world of our own.  We tend to lose our roots and our basics.  We keep charging infront and leaving all our past and basics far behind chasing after our wealth or our health but living beyond reality.  This is the danger of rushing and pushing ahead.

If we stop , pause and look back, we would be aware that our basics are very important to lead a happy and contented life. I was make to be aware of this fact during my yoga session yesterday.  My yoga teacher have been trying to ask us to do the more difficult poses and suddenly, she stopped and go back to the basic pose.  I find that although I can manage some of the difficult poses, my basic have become rusty and performing a simple pose because difficult.  If we have strong basic, then executing the advance poses would be no problem and realizing that my poor basic have actually make my difficult pose more difficult.  This is a stubtle feeling and you will not realized it at first but if you dwell on it , then you will realize the logic.

A proper resting of the palm on the floor could reduce the pain or the weight on the palms but if it is wrongly place, the weight of the whole body could rest on the palms and making it heavy and painful.
A good basic is a good foundation for a strong body and a good posture.

This philosphy and concept is also applicable in our daily living.  We only need the basic things to live a happy life and all other needs are materialistic and not necessary. It is only our craving or greed that make us feel that it is part of our life. If we go back to find our basics, we will find that we have been doing alot of unnecessary things to live a happy life. Our ego to show what we have is like chasing the "Jones" and wanting a bigger car , a bigger house, a more expensive watch, higher salary ,etc is only to satisfy our ego and greed. We live beyond our  basic requirements but face the same ending.

If you consider this as a passive life style , then it is our own way of interpreting life and how we live . Some people view development as an advancement but some think that keeping the basic is advancement. But, the important thing is that everyone of us have to find our path to happiness.  Finding happiness is just following a happy path with a happy mind.

Namaste.
