Manila Place at GP

This afternoon, I visited Parkson  Supermart in GP with my wife and after finished shopping, I suggested to have tea at Manila place in the same mall.  I was tired and sleepy and a little coffee would do me good , that was what I told my wife.  We ordered two cup of coffee , one ice cream and one piece of cake . While we were eating , I saw two ladies pushing a wheel chair with a boy in it.  When I look closely, I realized that boy was mentally retarded. He was shouting with joy as he was pushed from shop to shop.  Yes, he was very happy and did not hesitate to show it. That must be good for him.

This picture recapture the memories of a video which I watch last week. It was on TV in the series , One Vision, One World. It was about this girl who lost both  her arms due to infection. She related her experience of how her father neglect her or scorn at her before and after the incident. She decided not to let her family down and she learn to write with her toes and eat with her toes.  She was scared of people looking at her as if she is an alien but finally, she inspire herself to live like a normal girl. She study, eat and went out freely to the malls and streets where there are a lot people. Her message: You can do anything if you want. It all depends on you.

In china, there is a 'China have talent ' contest and during the contest,  they discover a armless man who plays piano with his two feet.He played excellent piano with his two feet , better than a lot of  professional people,  who play piano with their fingers. After the contest, he became famous  and his participation  inspired so many handicapped  people to believe in themselves and  overcome their physical shortcomings to live a normal life if they want it. Yes, there is no such thing as impossible and impossible is nothing.

There are many such people who became champions of their own handicaps and prove to the world and their fellow handicaps that they can find ways and means to be useful to themselves and to the world. There is a lot of hard work and pain but if we persist, we can change ourselves and overcome our shortcomings.

To all those lesser children of GOD, may you find your purpose in life and may you find ways to live normally.

Namaste.
