Coming to a 2015 close

Yeah. Another year. Another life. The past have to be gone before a new year come with new hope, new spirit and a new beginning. It is strange why we use one year to measure our achievement instead of one month or six months of each day. Perhaps, it is a reasonable time for a self check. The past one year for me have been quite peaceful with substantial amount of traveling. I have been to Bangladesh for 7 times, I think and each time is abit harder now. My body needs a longer period of time to recuperate. Aging is catching up. I could feel the strains and the aches in my body after each traveling. It is a natural progression. Well, on investment, it is abit tight and the returns is not si fast anymore as the economy turn for the worst and the cost of living have been going sky high and banks have cut back their credit lending especially on the property sector. Furthermore, there is a glut on the housing sector in Penang. Things was not so good on the investment side. Looking at the scenario, there is prediction that 2016 would be worst then 2015 and it has be bad or worst before it gets better. With China's economy falling flat, EU starting to recover , Japan still struggling with inflation and dragging down their Asian neighbours and USA is the only one keep standing but for how long nobody knows. It is very one's guess how the global economy will recover or the risk appetite coming back. So, lets prepare for the worst and what goes down will come up or goes up will come down. It depends on how you look at it. Namaste.

Don't complaint : Jack Ma (ext)

Great advice from the Richest person in China Mr. Jack Ma. Jack Ma says, "Please tell your children that the world is changing every day and no one is going to wait for you in the past. When lighter was invented, matches slowly disappeared. When calculator was created, abacus was to fade away. When digital camera was designed, the market of negative film no longer existed. When direct market selling/internet-based selling arises, traditional marketing declines. When smartphone with 4G (wireless internet access) was introduced to the world, you no longer need to turn on your computer at home. When WeChat and WhatsApp (mobile text/voice/video messaging) are developed, traditional text messaging is no longer as popular as before. Let's not to blame "Who took over Whose business." It's only because people are more adjustable and adaptable to new ideas and changes in the world. Someone asks Jack Ma, "What is your secret for success?" He says, "Really simple...I am doing (action) while you're only watching." Please remember that the world keeps changing every day. If you don't change, you'll be left behind. You reap what you sow with your time. If you spend time to drink, you may become an alcoholic. If you spend time to complain, you may become a blamer. If you spend time to beautify yourself, you may become a pretty girl/handsome guy. If you spend time to stay healthy, you may enjoy a healthy good life. If you spend time to be picky, you may become a 'mean' person. If you spend time to learn, you may gain wisdom. If you spend time with your family, you may foster a warm and loving relationship with your loved ones.

Which way to heaven ?

During the Christmas break, the common topic was " Heaven". Is there  a Heaven or Nirvana? There are so many opinion about his matter.  Is it a christian heaven or a Buddhist Nirvana or a Muslim syurga ? What about the Hindus, the Jews, the Shinto , the minority religions ? Don't they have a place like Heaven ? There is a song " Heaven knows". In the lyric, finally, whether there is a place called Heaven, only Heaven knows or God knows.

In an interaction, someone say that there are many roads to one destination and there are many ways to Heaven if there is one.  It is confusing whether at the end is Heaven or Hell ?  Some religion have both like if you you do good , you go to Heaven and if you do bad, it is Hell,

In the Buddhist philosoply, the law of karma prevails.  If you have done bad, you will re-birth in the earth realm and if you do good, you will evolved until you get out of this realm to another dimension and finally, if  you achieved enlightenment you go to Nirvana and stay there, happy ever after,.

What are all these stories ? It is make by Men and some say that it is through inspiration by GOD or some people achieved enlightenment and related it to the commoners. But, there is no hard facts that shows the existence of Heaven.

So which way do we want to take to reach Heaven ?  The Penang Road , the Perak Road or the KL road ? Is there a Heaven existing at the end of the road.  Just think about it ? Everything is so confusing.

A hectic christmas break

For the past five days, it had been very hectic starting with a trip to KL to visit the new cementery of my SIL at Nirvana , Shah Alam , Selangor. We drove down from Penang on the last wednesday and attende4 a gathering in the nite in the memory of my SIL and it was a gathering of 30 members ,covering relatives, friends and the christian pasters.  It lasted until 10pm , starting from 7pm.

On the next day, we visted the cementery of my SIL at Nirvana and we were taken on a trip to visit the cementery comprising of the buddhist lots and christian lots. It was a massive place to rest the ashes of the dead.  At the Ming palace, there was a big statute of Buddha at the entrance and at the temple which have several stories , they offered may resting lots or "condos" for the ashes of the dead. The price hovers from a few thousands to tens of thousands depending on the facilities and place of the lots. This place gives dignity to the dead.  I was told that the Nirvana at Nilai was much better and offers an option for more resting palaces.  The set up of the place is a replica of a temple from China with beautiful landscaping.

After the visit to Nirvana , we proceed to have Bak Kut Teh at Klang but it was a disappointment as the taste was not comparable to the one in Penang. I was expecting a more tasteful meat.

We proceed to return to the home of my second SIL and we rested in the place and we went for dinner at night with a few friends and the food there was much better.

On Christmas day, we departed from KL at 8.30am and we traveled to Telok Intan to visit a relative in his oil palm estate and it took us about 3 hours to reach there and we had lunch at Telok Intan.  The small town is near a big river and offers the best seafood in the whole of Malaysia. The restaurant was an attap house and they offerred various fishes, prawns and veggie congees.  We had a stomach full of seafood before going to his home in the middle of an oil palm estate.  There is not much to see except miles and miles of oil palm.  We headed for Penang and it took us another 4 hours to reach penang and we reached Penang at 7pm and had a simpel dinner before reaching home at 9.30pm.  The traveling was so hectic and we absolutely tired.

For the weekend, I went to a hiking session and a body message  and a lunch and dinner at May's  and the following day, a yoga session and a trip to Balik Pulau for hakka food and a few trips to visit a few place in Penang at the request of my SIL.

It was a week of activities which is tiring and eventful. Now, I am back to a normal routine.

Property sector will be at its worst in 2016 (ext)

Investment guru Datuk Gavin Tee expects 2016 to be “the worst year for Malaysian property” on the back of weaker economic growth, loss of pricing power and subdued financing, reported The Malaysian Reserve.
“2015 was bad, and 2016 will be worse,” said Tee, founder and President of SwhengTee International Real Estate Investors Club, at a recent briefing in Kuala Lumpur.
“I’ve travelled all over the region, speaking to ministers, developers, investors and the media. The feedback (on Malaysia) is something you don’t want to hear.”
Notably, property prices within the secondary market fell 15 percent this year due to weaker demand and the absence of speculators.
As such, Tee expects prices to drop even further compared to the past few years as buyers do not foresee significant positive changes in the first half of 2016.
And while property prices may not go back to the levels seen in 2009 and 2010, they will be at their lowest for the next eight years, he noted.
Lower prices, however, will not translate to more sales for developers given the slowing demand for property.
“Demand is low in the sense that there is lower foreign investment and job creation, lower purchasing ability from Malaysians, as well as the poor economic and political situations,” shared Tee.
A bigger dilemma is the high loan rejection rates, which stands at over 50 percent for KL-based properties and 80 percent for Iskandar-based properties.
Tee said that the Malaysian government should relax the cooling measures and take more steps to make it easier for investors to acquire property.
He added that if financing policies do not change, the government would not be killing the Malaysian property sector but the “Malaysian pockets”.
“If you make it difficult for local investors, the wealth will transfer to foreign hands,” he said.

"MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR 2016

Coming to another Christmas

I have been enjoying christmas for many years and each time , the festive comes along , it brings me some kind of excitement.  I don't really know what happens to me during this period but I feel the spirit of peace and happiness. I really feel that the joy and happiness should be all around. Maybe, it is near the end of the year and I got the chance to renew my resolutions and start all over again.

The feeling is mixed and I also feel that another year has to come to an end. How time flies ?  The mixed confusion of starting a new and the ending of another year is conflicting .  Why is the year gone so fast ? Wow, another new year to start again.

The starting and ending of a year is actually started by people for thousands of years. What is the purpose ? To measure how long we live or to provide a new start to every year ?  Different people look at it differently and make their own judgements for their own agenda.

Does how long we live matters ? it is not how long but how well , right ? Why have to wait for one year to start a fresh ? Everyday is a new start and a new beginning .  Does the one year period a good time to messure our achievements ? Can we postpone one year after one year ? Is it so important to measure time and see long we live ? Is living longer , a measurement of achievemennt or success ? Basically, we want to survive longer than others and have the last laugh as we are the winner. Is this concept or philosophy of life correct ?

I think to live everyday to the fullest and with restraint is the best.  Live as if tomorrow never come and treat everyday as the last day of our life.  It is true , life is uncertain and death is only certain. Maybe, this is my year's resolution to go into the next year of the monkey.

Ho ho ho, jump , jump, jump and here comes the Monkey.

emotions, our life

Most of the time ,our life is controlled by our emotions  we leashed out at things which we don't like and make a scene to show our displeasure.. Is it necessary ?  If we know that our emotions is taking over , we should arrest at its bud and turning it around and make ourself more composured. to What is the point of making everybody unhappy and in turn, make ourself unhappy and ungrateful.

I always tell my friends that if we are sad, we should watch a happy or listen to a happy story or music. It will definitely change our status of our mind and also change our composure,

A few days ago, I tried to follow this patch. I was abit restless after the death of my sister in law.  I turned to the youtube Chinese harp music and I felt so serence after hearing the sound of the harp. and flute.  It is so peaceful and the music lifted my mood.

Another time, I was upset and I turned to Harrid Iskandar , the standing comedian and after watching his youtube, I was much better and realszed that why should we let our mood or emotions control us.  We can turn it around as this is our choice , our life and our decision. We are not a robot man.

It is very true and it is a good experience to adopt this treatment to our wounded soul and mind.  Believe me , we are the master of our soul , our body and our mind. Nothing is impossible and it is up to us.

Namaste.

Interesting article on life (ext)

For many years I worked in palliative care. My patients were those who had gone home to die. Some incredibly special times were shared. I was with them for the last three to twelve weeks of their lives. People grow a lot when they are faced with their own mortality.
I learnt never to underestimate someone’s capacity for growth. Some changes were phenomenal. Each experienced a variety of emotions, as expected, denial, fear, anger, remorse, more denial and eventually acceptance. Every single patient found their peace before they departed though, every one of them.

When questioned about any regrets they had or anything they would do differently, common themes surfaced again and again. Here are the most common five:

1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.

This was the most common regret of all. When people realize that their life is almost over and look back clearly on it, it is easy to see how many dreams have gone unfulfilled. Most people had not honoured even a half of their dreams and had to die knowing that it was due to choices they had made, or not made.

It is very important to try and honour at least some of your dreams along the way. From the moment that you lose your health, it is too late. Health brings a freedom very few realise, until they no longer have it.

2. I wish I didn’t work so hard.

This came from every male patient that I nursed. They missed their children’s youth and their partner’s companionship. Women also spoke of this regret. But as most were from an older generation, many of the female patients had not been breadwinners. All of the men I nursed deeply regretted spending so much of their lives on the treadmill of a work existence.

By simplifying your lifestyle and making conscious choices along the way, it is possible to not need the income that you think you do. And by creating more space in your life, you become happier and more open to new opportunities, ones more suited to your new lifestyle.

3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.

Many people suppressed their feelings in order to keep peace with others. As a result, they settled for a mediocre existence and never became who they were truly capable of becoming. Manydeveloped illnesses relating to the bitterness and resentment they carried as a result.

We cannot control the reactions of others. However, although people may initially react when you change the way you are by speaking honestly, in the end it raises the relationship to a whole new and healthier level. Either that or it releases the unhealthy relationship from your life. Either way,you win.

4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.

Often they would not truly realise the full benefits of old friends until their dying weeks and it was not always possible to track them down. Many had become so caught up in their own lives that they had let golden friendships slip by over the years. There were many deep regrets about not giving friendships the time and effort that they deserved. Everyone misses their friends when they are dying.

It is common for anyone in a busy lifestyle to let friendships slip. But when you are faced with your approaching death, the physical details of life fall away. People do want to get their financial affairs in order if possible. But it is not money or status that holds the true importance for them. They want to get things in order more for the benefit of those they love. Usually though, they are too ill and weary to ever manage this task. It is all comes down to love and relationships in the end. That is all that remains in the final weeks, love and relationships.

5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.

This is a surprisingly common one. Many did not realise until the end that happiness is a choice. They had stayed stuck in old patterns and habits. The so-called ‘comfort’ of familiarity overflowed into their emotions, as well as their physical lives. Fear of change had them pretending to others, and to their selves, that they were content. When deep within, they longed to laugh properly and have silliness in their life again. When you are on your deathbed, what others think of you is a long way from your mind. How wonderful to be able to let go and smile again, long before you are dying.

Life is a choice. It is YOUR life. Choose consciously, choose wisely, choose honestly. Choose happiness

The last journey

Last journey

To cremate or burial? Does this matter ?  Ashes to ashes , dust to dust . The end is the same and why do we need to decide ? After death , there should no more feelings . It is just a mindset problem and a fear factor.

Fear is the reason for many inhibitions. It can leads to a lot of imaginations and wrong interpretation and judgements.
To beat fear , we should use critical thinking in analyzing a belief or some advise or myth.
To do critical thinking, it needs time and guts to face the problem which sometimes have its own logics and reasonings.

If someone were to preach or persuade you to concur with their belief or something illogical , have the courage to speak up and express your thoughts and belief. Don't justify  your lack of thinking by saying that we have no time to think about it. The easiest is to follow without thinking or with false hopes. Speak up and be heard and make sure your questions are answered convincingly before making a decisions. All important decisions needs ample time from yourself and don't be lazy and silly about it.

In heaven or Nirvana. ?

In Heaven or Nirvana ?

My Sister in law was called by the Lord two days ago. Maybe he is heaven so they say. Nobody is sure about the existence of heaven.

In all religions, the promise of heaven is there but nobody actually have been to heaven. Otherwise , the religion will be the mother of all religions. Until this present day, it is just a myth .
Many billions has died before me and no one came back to give testimony of the existence of heaven or Nirvana. They are talks and hearsay but there is no solid evidence of such existence.

It is not a bad hope as it is something comfortable and full of hope. Why do we fear death ? The main reason is that we do not know what come after death ? Whether we re-birth or vanished forever ? One life time or many life times. Nobody knows . Different religion promised different things and this is the confusion.

Nevertheless . I think the final set off show be grateful and decent . I am attending the wake of my sister in law at Nirvana memorial hall and even thought it is an expensive and commercialized , the dignity of the dead is guaranteed .

Giving

We are all takers rather than givers. That is basic greed in our human nature. It is natural . Giving takes a lot of effort and courage. We have to overcome ourself first.

When we give, we ended up less and we fear we have not enough. It is a foolish thought . There is always enough for us. When we decide to give , we give and that is it. Do not think and decide later. Your demon in you will change your mind.

When we give, there is a feeling of parting something we have and we are comfortable now. In most of the cases, it is only a fraction of what we have. Strangely, if you break your mind set and give, there is something good coming back. It could be in mutli-fold.

Nowadays, Micro soft owner bill gates give away billions , the facebook owner also giving billions to charity and set up a fund. Warren Buffet also give away billions and also set up a trust fund.  Those filthy rich people are feeling that giving away could be a blessing in disguise. Some for the preservation of the climate and environment and fight against AIDS.

There is a saying " a new horizon begins after moving past fear ".  You have to take the first step and beat the fear of having less. If you break through that line, everything will come back to you . So, let go fear and reach for a new  horizon.

Take the first step  and give and you will get your returns in many folds in whatever ways.

Namaste.

Laughter and happiness

Laughter

When we are happy , we laugh and feel happy about it. How about we laugh to make ourself happy? It is rediculous. But why not ?

It is simple. We watch a funny film or read a funny article or talk to a funny friend . We can change our mood by doing these things I have suggested above.

They are people who loves watching sad movies or sing sad love songs , it is to ooen their tap of emotions . They make them self cry and release their emotions . They feel good about them selves after the crying . It is exactly what I say above. You used the certain occasions or situation to change your emotions and let go off the hindrance which block your emotions and change it around.

We can make ourself happy when we are sad. It is our choice. But, sometimes we keep our self in a sad mood for a reason and we feel it is right to do it. We punished our self to feel good after that.

Just be aware of our actions and remained happy and gay.
