Sunday morning -today
I just woke up and lying in bed staring at the clear blue sky. The morning sun was strong and bright. There was a group of people practicing Qigong in the park outside my window with instructions blaring out from their music player to guide them in their exercise. Feel like waking up and do my Taichi exercise but still enjoy the layback position on my bed comtemplating. By the way, it is Sunday, right?
My feeling is abit weird and I could sensed that time was standing still waiting for things to move. The sunlight could have came through the window and burn my backside if not for the curtains protecting me. The fan on the ceiling was moving at its usual speed but all other things are on the standstill. Of course, the table , chairs, cabinet , my blanket ,etc are dead things and have no life. What am I thinking?
I scoop deep in to myself and I sensed a restless feeling. The restless spot was in my heart while my head is fully contented and restful. Why? I realized that I am trying hold back the Sunday and wanting it not to move to Monday where there are many urgent things and problems for me to handle. My heart wants the rest and pushing my brain not to thinking about tomorrow. There are a lot of uncertainties in tomorrow.
Yes, I am fearful of the uncertainties especially people problems which is complex and uncertain. But by focusing on fear, it will get stronger and fear will control me. I will need to stare fear in the face and it will get smaller and smaller. It is a very difficult task to do but I have to do it. I have sensed so much fear with the people around me. We are fearful of ghost, difficult people, bad people , our safety, etc. I have to tell them to stop fearing . If we are not fearful of death, what is there to fear about?
Once, I had a discussion with a colleague who is a factory manager. Our factory is very big and there are people who could sense the presence of the unpleasant kind. As a factory manager , he heard many stories and it was his duty to check it out. So, he told me that with a touch light in hand, he would go to all these hot spots and check it out. He is very fearful but he has to do it , so that his employees are not scare. With a heavy and fearful heart, he has to face these fear. Each time, it turns out to be nothing and gradually, he gets more stronger and confident over his fear. He is still fearful but he is not scare to stare at his fear. Maybe one day, he will see something , so what ? He will have to ask that "fella" to go away, right?
This is a good example for all of us. We should look forward to tomorrow and face whatever that is coming our way. Still lying on my bed and bcome hopeful that the fear will be gone is only a dream. The show must go on and we have to complete our destiny. So, Come what may.
Namaste.

Ume wine - my new found lover
I have been reading up the history of Ume Wine in Japan and I have been drinking it for the past few days. I have drink it neat and warm , on the rock and mixed with fruit juice. It is really a wonderful drink and most important of all, it is a healthy drink. It relaxes our body and provides us energy and life.
It can also mixed with wine, beer, soda , hot water, strong tea , ice and fruit juice. The wine will bring up the flavor and will make the drinks pleasant and relaxing. Ume can also be used to enrich desserts and if we place the ume or plum in hot water fora few minutes , it will take away the alcoholic content or taste.
After taking the drink, I feel relax and I can rest and sleep better and it helps to take away the fatigue.
I am not writing to promote alcoholic drinks but I want to share the feeling and experience which I have encountered with the wine. The wine comes from Ume and like red wine it comes come grapes and sake , it comes from rice.
The bottle come with a few ume or plums together with the wine. After drinking or during drinking , we can eat the plum as well. It is a bit bitter but it blend well with the wine.
After drinking a few times, I fell in love with the drink and it is like a "second spring" for me and it is a whole new experience to know and live with this love. Please drink moderately as it is quite costly.
Fellas, come with me to explore and change our life to be a better you and me.

Moment of truth - loving kindness
I have been waitinIg for the news from my friend for the whole night. I stare at the movies on the TV and egarly waiting for the news to come in. I was rather uneasy and keep sending SMS to check the outcome. Finally, the message came in. She is alright and I felt relieved and a huge weight got off my back. I say " Thank God".
This is the feeling of loving kindness and we don't have to wait until such occasion to express it. We should carry this loving kindness thoughts with us all the time and use it when it is appropriate. If we opt to wait , then sometimes it may be too late or have limited time to express your thoughts or share your thoughts or may have a proper closure to your relationship with someone.
In real life, we are so busy running around or doing our routines that we do not have the time or thought to stop a moment to express loving kindness. The feeling or action must come from the heart and not by acting out to Ywin a game or to be a hypocrate.
Yes, knowing that a person survive a difficult situation really bring us joy. The joy of seeing the person again and how to help him or her to recover. It is joy of giving a dana or a dharma to bring well beings to our ownself or other people. If something good happen to our friend, we should feel better because he or she is doing well. Like the saying " it is better that our friend is healthy rather than they are sick". If our friend is sick, we should offer dana to pray for their recovery.
Let us wind down, relax and try to read or see the sights around us whether we have been engaging in right fold path through loving kindness. If the mind is forgetful , the heart knows.
Namaste.

Choya Ume, Japanese wine
I was first introduced to this wine by my colleague , B during our trip to Bangladesh. The only entertainment in Chittagong, Bangladesh is dinner and good wine or liquour. So, at KLIA, we shopped around and found this wine which is not only good for health but it had a pleasant taste, so we brought a few bottle to try it out. It turns out to be a good wine and each bottle have about nine green plums and it goes went with the wine. It is recommendable to have a try and experience yourself.
In Chinese name, it is called " Umeishu" and it means Plum Wine. It is about RM100 per bottle. I start to like it, lets enjoy together. Cheers.

Choya Ume:
Plum wine is a fermented alcoholic beverage made from plums and mainly produced in Japan and Korea, from the ume plum, (pronounced 'wu-meh') which contains potassium and calcium, making the drink appreciated for its relaxing effect as well as for keeping healthy. The drink has been consumed for over 1000 years in Japan and to the present day, ume-fruit liqueur and/or wine remains a familiar beverage in Japanese households.
With its gentle sweetness and a touch of acidity, Choya Plum wine is best served as an aperitif or with spicy / sweet & sour Asian dishes. 13.5% Alc
From olden times on to the present day, UME-fruit liqueur has been a familiar beverage in Japanese households well known and loved for its relaxing effect as well as its usefulness for keeping healthy. Because of the faint aroma, well-balanced acidity and sweetness of UME-fruit liqueur, it is said to be one of the most delicious liquors in the world. The reasons why it is good for our health are, firstly, the main component of the organic acid incorporated in UME-fruit liqueur is citric acid. This substance relieves fatigue and helps the body recover its energy and vitality. This is what is known as UME-fruit liqueur's relaxing effect. Second, drinking just a bit in times when the appetite is lost stimulates saliva and gastric secretions enhancing the appetite and bringing out the flavor of any meal. Third and last, UME-fruit liqueur possesses a sterilizing effect and an intestinal digestion process coordinating effect that purifies the body's internal organs and relieves diarrhea.

My experience at Yang Sang Tang, Penang
The word " Yang Sang Tang" means wellness hall or organization but actually, it is a health massage center operatedt by a local using massuers from China. All massuers are supposed to be trained from a health collage in China. This was my second experience in this massage center as I have been a frequent customer from local massuers.
The first experience was an excellent one and today's second experience was a very painful one. It started of with a shoulder massage and male massuer have very good skill and did a very good job in releasing my frozen shoulder. He told me that I have injured my nerves during my yoga exercise and he recommended me to buy some medical paste from Guardian Pharmacy and it will be cured in a week. I have not try to do anything about it yet.
After the shoulder, he told me that my bod is very heaty and he recommend to carry out a " Quar Sar" or a back scrub by some buffalo horn gargets by using oil. I did not accept his proposal but then he asked me to choose the oil , so I relented. The scrub was very painful and he told me that in Malaysian weather , we should do this type of treatment once a month to reduce the heat in our body and detox. Anyway, it was painful but I managed to tolerate until the full scrub was done. He told me that my body will be reddish in a while.
Next, he moved on to the legs and the time was only remaining 20 minutes and there was not enough time to do a proper leg reflexology treatment but he went about it with full speed and full strength. It was extremely painful but I managed to endure it but trying to relax my foot as much as possible.
The whole massage took one hour and it cost me RM45 for the massage, RM35 for my scrub and RM15 for the salt water for my feet. It was about RM95 for an hour treatment. It was abit pricey but the feeling after the pain was good. After reaching home, I slept for 4 hours continuously and I felt refreshed and good. I even managed to do two rounds of Tai chi exercise in the night.
I think it is value for money and the pain was worth it as money is not everything while good health is important to all of us.
