The spring in my legs

When we are young , we walk with a spring in our legs. We could walk far , jump high and bend it whatever way we want , it is flexible. As we aged, the spring starts to get rushy , it gradually gets worn out and once awhile, we heard the sound in our  leg joints.

It is a life struggle to keep all our muscles in a fine condition. We exercise , we bend , we take supplements , we massage  and we do whatever we can but we cannot fight against the natural aging process. It is a fact and we have to accept it.

Today , I travel from Pg to KL and back and I could feel the rustiness in my legs as I have to climb the steps of the plane and also the staircase in the airport terminal. At some point, there was a slight pain on the joints and suddenly I became aware that it is not as good as before.

We can see the facts if we slow down and concentrate on the re-actions from our body.  It is sending out signals to us and if we ignore it and do not take precautions, we can only ending up hurting ourselves. If we are sick , we better behave as if we are sick and if we are in our 60's , we have to know and behave like people in the 60's.  people said that age is just a number but it is not totally true. This wisdom is only to make us feel good and motivate us but we have to realize the fact that we are in the 60's and there are certain things that we cannot do.

My friend at 56 was a vivid badminton player for many years and he told me that he have to stop playing the game he like.  Many people have died on the badminton court as they think that they are in the 20's.  When you are in a game, the intensity push you on and you forget that you are old and you tend to reach for every ball and that could be the end of you.

We have prepare and be aware and take immediate actions to cure our body if we notice the necessary signals coming to our senses.

Namaste.
