We are a family

The word 'Family' is very wide. It covers immediate family, not so immediate family and distant relatives and remote relatives. The degree of closeness varies like the different shades of a color. From light, pastel, medium , dark and extra dark and the tone varies in between these standard shades.

So relationship varies in different degrees. Some relationship can be immediate but yet they behave like strangers. Yet, some is distantly related but they are close like twins. The closeness of a relationship varies and changes according to chemistry or events. After a quarrel, the relationship fall apart and after awhile, the gap narrowed and the relationship recovers. Sometimes,it remain far apart if the hurts do not heal properly.

Some lesser people or imperfect beings can be manipulative. When the situation is unfavorable to them, they denied that they are related especially their help is needed. When they are in need of help, they claim or yell that they are  related and get help in whatever ways or sue to get what they want and a distant relative can become close one out of fear.

In time of need, we are a family but when u need them , they are like strangers in the night.There are a lot of such fakers around which are usually good actors and speakers. There is a Chinese saying: relationship can be colder than water and thinner than paper. When you put it on a weighing machine, it is lighter than a feather.

In a Chinese saying " when you turn over a pig's stomach, there is shit all around " and this depicts the stinkiest of a relationship. When one is losing his welfare, one will exercise whatever action to protect their welfare irrespective of one's relationship. In this case, we are not a family.

Whoever say that ' we are a family' easily and without sincerity are fakers. Some people cling on each other for strength   at their weakest moments. When they recovered such relation no longer exit.

In a true relationship, the bond and closeness, is deep and real. They look like a pair of eyes moving in the same tandem , knowing what each other is doing and compliment what each eye is doing to remained in focus.  Like an unconditioned love of a parent and the strong bond of a pair of lover. These type of people keep it in their heart and use action to illustrate that they are really a family.

In Buddhism, everyone in this Universe is inter-connected , through the air we breath which is full of molecules that replenish the damaged cells in our body. Everybody in the Four Seas are brothers. This is big version of the " we are a family".

For those, who scheme and "rape" , beware.  We reap what we sow and what goes around, comes around. Don't be too sure that you can easily make use or manipulate the people around you to benefit yourself.  The Heaven have "eyes" and you will get it back in the right time.  For every bad deeds, there is a payback time.
