May's Place -1

May's place -1 My daughter's cafe is ready for its official opening on the 18th of July 15 and I told her it will be a start of a hard journey in F&B business. The cafe is very simple set up and the concept is basic. Just a place for a simple lunch or dinner. Nothing to fuzz about except a few special dishes which they called their own. The food business is tough as it depends on individual taste. One man's meat is another man's poison. It is very difficult to prepare a dish that is perfect for everyone. Not only the taste, the spice , the presentation and the coloring needs to be prepared to each individual's preference. A slight Mia-match could be disastrous. Additionally, there is so much competition around for the same populace. The same number of people shifting here and there . Some shops open and some closed and there are so many promotion offers. Each outlet is trying to kill each other fo survival. There needs to be constant changes to the recipe and the menu. It is so competitive and fast moving. The survival of the cafe will depend on creativity and imagination. Of course, non of the business must be static. Otherwise , it will not survive. As I told my daughter, it is a long , hard and winding road if you choose to enter the business world. The only consolation is that she can fulfill her passion and have more freedom than in a career works. I wish her best of luck and live well as she travel her life journey. Namaste.
