Our mind is really amazing .. it controls our emotions and feelings. At times, it is cloaked with worries and problems but at times, it hides everything and leave the mind blank and in boredom.
Feeling bored with our jobs or life is quite normal as we evolved around our environment and our self. The repeated routine and schedules make us bored. Now we do this and what is coming next is almost certain and predictable. We are running in circles as outside these circles , there will be risk and insecurity. We are safe creatures which tries to avoid fear.
From the morning, we wake up, we go to the toilet , brush our teeth , take a bath , use the same soap and cleaning from up to bottom , left to right, etc is all in a fixed routine. We are unaware of it because our mind is not focus or is thinking of many other things. If we quiet down and go through the routine , you think that there is an SOP for everything we do. It is as expected and boring.
In our daily life, everything is running in circles and n a routine until the last breath in our body. You can just recap what you have just done and whether it is as familiar as before. Things and process just repeat itself.
So , some psychologist will tell us to vary our movement or the way we do things on a daily basis. If we were to wear our pants first and then our shirts, it would be better to alternate it or when we brush our tooth from left to right , we should start the right to the left or center to the left. With this act, our life will be more variety and will become more interesting. It breaks the routine and boredom and makes our life more interesting.
So, in the sexual text of Kamasura , it describe about the 36 ways of sexual intercourse which provide variety to the way we conduct our sexual activities and this is to keep the fire burning in us and also to let us enjoy the immense pressure in carrying out these different ways of doing the passionate thing.
Our mind will feel the change and it will be more active rather passively exercising the routines in circles. Our circles or routines are our comfort zones and we fell comfortable living under these circumstances.
In our life, if we persistently do a thing or a process, we will be improving and finally be skillful in doing these tasks. This will make our mind bored as the action will be carry out naturally and in a certain way. Our mind slowly will become passive and inactive and then boredom will come. By doing differently , we are triggering the mind and keep it alert and active . Moving from one direction one day and another direction on another day, it will be challenge for the brain to remain alive and focus. The feeling and passion of doing it is different.
So, be mindful of this point and keep the mind active and well.
