i am in " jail" - in Bangladesh

Have you got this feeling that you are in jail? So suffocating, speechless and choking feeling. Yes, I got this feeling every time, I stayed in Bangladesh. I cannot go out alone and only traveling from my hotel to factory and to the restaurant and every time must remained in a car or traveling in a car.

I have to remain in a box every time.  In my room is a box, in a car is a box , in the factory is a bigger box and in a restaurant is a smaller box. Every movement is in a box although there are so many green lungs in Chittagong.

There is no drainage system in the City and the logic is that water will find their own outlet and level, rubbish are everywhere  as it becomes part of the local culture and the roads are full of dust and air is fill with smog. Any wrong consumption of food will sent us rushing to the toilet in the most awkward times.

There is a set of strict rules to follow when you are in this country .

  1. We can only drink boil  mineral water of certain brand
  2. We cannot walk alone in the open roads due to the surround condition coupled with the smell and the dust
  3. The weather extremely  is hot during summer and extremely cold during the winter but without snow
  4. We can only eat food at certain outlets and food consumed by locals on the streets are only edible due to the immunity of certain bacteria when they grew up from young
  5. Due to dusty conditions, the poor quality of the water , the poor drainage  and finally, the preservative used in the fruits and food, the living conditions become unbearable.
  6. The high cost of living in the City have forced people to live on the streets and causing many people to walk to work and makes free walking on the streets for foreigners a security problem.
In the end, we have to live in boxes and transferring from boxes when we have to live in these conditions mentioned above.

Namaste.
