A floating village in Brunei

The floating village in Brunei Yesterday , I have some free time in the afternoon and my friend, O invited me to join him to have a boat ride to see the floating  village located in the town center. Before that I invited him for a Japanese lunch near the jetty to the floating  village  and it turns out to be an excellent lunch with a reasonable price and the taste was excellent. Highly recommendable to the  visitors to this sleepy town. The boat ride for 1 1/2 hours cost us B$50 for two person. The exchange rate is RM2.52 to one B$. The ride took us far up in the river to watch monkeys  but there was non because of the hot weather. The monkey is a special breed with a red nose and they are only available in Brunei. We circled the floating village which house several schools , a fire station , a polis station and a cultural center. A part of the floating  village housed new villas which cost B$300,000 while most parts of it are houses belonging to the fisherman.  It was a nice experience to see this special lifestyle. It was a simple boat ride but it was a real experience . Namaste.
