I have always believe in the law of karma. What we sow is what we reap . It cannot be avoided and there is a payback time in many ways and some in its mysterious ways.
I do not know how Lord Buddha realized this concept but in our daily life we see a lot of this examples. When bad things happen to us , we will asked why me ? We cannot understand the logic of bad things fallen on us as we have done no sins. Well, the sins are from the past and present and doings of others who are related to us. We will never able to pinpoint the sins we did or done by others which have attracted the misfortune which have fallen on us.
We have to follow our own path and during the journey , we have to avoid harm to others and in the appropriate times , we give back what we have reaped from our civilization and back to it .This is to lessen our sins on earth and stop its circulations in our lives which will bring negative returns in our life or the life of those close to us.
Our sins in our life will circulate for many years and life until we obtained enlightenment which will put us out of this realm and return to our energy source .
Dalai Lama's teaching that if we cannot give help to others than create no harm to others . We can do anything which can hurt ourself but we hurt others than that is a sin. We will be answerable for that sin.
