Yes, I am back in Penang and back to civilization.. Actually, it is not so bad but there was so many destructions in Danang during the French and American wars that the place need time to be re-constructed. Destroy is easy but to rebuild it needs time.
What conclusion I have arrived after visiting Danang ? One thing is obvious . My health have deteriorated and my age have catch up with me. After climbing all the steps to the various caves , I failed in one venture and it really took the breath out of me. I have to sit down to recover and let the rest of the troop moved on. After catching my breath, I could no longer find them. It is so hard to admit that we are sick or old. We want to remain the same and still pushing on with life. But, there is a limit and you will hit the limit when you pushed yourself. You just cannot hide anymore.
Looking at the trip, I am also aware that I have to keep myself health or I have to travel when I can still walk or climb. If I wait for my retirement first, it maybe very difficult for me to enjoy the trip anymore through walking and climbing . Time waits for no one. Yes, I have to admit this weakness early and to travel more often rather than to wait for a good timing.
It can be just another wakeup call as there were so many before and I better sit up to listen to myself and to get on with my life through traveling.

I am in Danang , Vietnam : part 3
I am in Danang, Vietnam - part. 3
Have I being here before or seen it all ? This is a strange feeling that j have seen the marble mountain and the caves in the mountain. Maybe I have passed through it in my past life . I am not sure but I have a certain kind of strange feelings.
Here is Danang , there are so many caves and pagodas and we have enough of it for the past few days. The influence of Buddhism was very strong including the Chinese Taoism .
There is so much marble cravings of Buddha , Kuan Yin and Lord Siva and it makes us feel that we have gone through a religious tour instead of a leisure holiday.
Another fault is the food quality and it is the same dishes everyone ie the kangkong , the squid and Siew Pak choy soup. It appears in almost every meal including the small prawns. I have enough and it is oozing out from my ears and nose .
Due to the caves and ancient monuments , there was a lot of Walkings and traveling on the buses from one place to another .
However , there nice beaches , bridges and the wet markets . Come to think about it , the good thing is for the ladies' to shop for the local food stuff what to give to who back home .
This is the last day of travel and I will beck to civilization. Tomorrow. It is going to be a another hectic day on my journey back to Penang .

I am in Danang Vietnam -part 2
Now I have been here for the third day and I have busted Bana Hill resort and it a former French dwelling places and it has so much of French architecture influences. The French occupies Vietnam for 80 years . One of the significant remains is the dancing fountain which goes with the timing of a French song .
After 3 days here , I noticed the influence of the Chinese , Japanese , French and the Americans A melting pot of so many cultures and heritage and a vital passage way for the Indochin countries ie Laos and Cambodia to the rest of the world.
There is so much influence of Taoism , Buddhism , Islam and the most is Hinduism. The people believe in Siva , the lord of creation , life and destruction. The power of three in one. The most powerful God.
The religion compares life to a day's activity . The sun rise in the east , goes into noon at the peak and slides into evening and ends in the night ie settling into the west . This philosophy compares to a human life of birth , age, sickness and death.
The day's routine goes into this repetitious cycle from the start to the end .
Vietnam don't have its only language and is modified from Chinese to Vietnamese by ending of a mark at each word.
After watching their performance in a show which includes songs and music performance , I realized that the style and their music and singing performance is very similar to the Chinese Teow Chew style . Yes, the influence of the Chinese culture was very significant.
At the top of the Bana Hill resort , there is a Chinese Temple which house a big bell for people to hit it and sent out a sound to wake the Gods. It was so cold on the top and serene. The air is fresh and the Chi is so strong . An amazing meditation ground for the fated.

I am in Danang , Vietnam -1
Yes, I am on a holiday for a few days . This is a short break after working hard for the past few months. Well, at this age, why do I need to work so hard ? Out of responsibility and a challenge after I decide to continued working . I have to stop working some day as I am just human:
Why do I choose Danang for a break ? No, reason just accompanying my wife and she wants to join tour with her sister . Well , why not ? This is a place of history.
Danang lies in the central of Vietnam and it is the location of many Americans GIs during the 10 years Vietnam war . There are rumors that the GI's left many off spring in Danang which have handsome or beautiful features .By the way,
Vietnam also went through a 80 years old war with the French.
The city lies in the path in the only way out to the world for three countries ie Vietnam , Laos and Cambodia via land and sea. It is a strategic military base . The last battle of the Vietnam war was in Danang and it is where the American forces and fleets withdraw from the air , land and sea.
Danang now focus on tourism and it boost ifs cleanliness . There is a lot of developments in this seaside . It has two seasons ie the hot season for 9
Months and the raining season for 3 months ie October to December and these are the coldest months as the cold wind comes from the winter in China .When it is hot, it is real hot in the dry season.
The seaside has one of the most beautiful beach in the world and alone rhe coast lies many high class hotels and one of it, is a six stars hotel and one room cost US$30k a nite . It is for high ranking diplomats or celebrities . However, some part of the 1.8 million population people is still very poor and there is several
Large tracts of empty land waiting for developments in the future and is owned by some rich families in North Vietnam.
So far , the food is so so and have yet to taste the real local food. We visited the night market, the silk village and stays in Atlas hotel , a three stars hotel.

In a limbo
In a limbo
Last week was a hectic week for me with so many task to accomplish. It is strange that it just went by and even it was not that smooth in my execution of my task.
It is just like I have been squeezed through a bottleneck and I came out breathing heavily. Yeah , I am still a life .
The fear of death is always on my mind and it appears on and off . Yes , things can change with a simple twist of fate . It happens to the comedian driving by the Lim Ching Eu highway and was shot dead by a stray bullet from an insane body guard . It could have been anyone or me if I am at the place at the particular time when the shot hit the fan killing a Dato . The timing is so right for the comedian to exit this dimension .
Fate is uncertain and unknown and we should leave it as it is .
No need to know what and when it will and life is as usual as ever .
The other day I read Robin Sharma's wisdom. It says that we should not think that living for 75 years in the same routine is living. In fact, if we live the same way everyday is only loving one day . So we should be aware to live differently and do different things to make our life complete before fate take your life away.
Live differently, eat different things and do whatever you like in different ways. Live without regrets and experienced the varieties in life ...
Be a different person and with different lives with the same sanity and awareness.

Mistakes
Mistakes
When we do a mistake , it is so difficult to forget and forgive ourself . It is like carrying a stick pick up from the road . The longer we hold it , the heavier it becomes . Finally , it becomes our permanent baggage in our life. Not only it drags is down but also worn us out if we attached too ego or plight to it.
We have to let it go ? How should we do it .
Letting go of the stick we pick up on our journey sounds easy but each time to try to shake it out , it remained with us . Why? Because we don't have a trained and discipline mind. The memory bounced back in our mind .
Yes. Our strong mind is the only solution . Just the habit of smoking . We stop but it just came back to us as the urge resurface . It is like a ghost which we failed to get rid of it .
How to have a strong mind ? It is to train it through an exercise with the mind, just like our eyes. We trained it to see what we want and not to see what we don't want to see. See to the left , right or centre , up or down . The eyes obeys us absolutely .
There are many tools ie meditation , chess , in chanting etc. But dun let it turn away from us and don't forget or fearful and just keep going for it and success will come one day.
Find out what is meditation or other ways of training our kind . If you succeed , you will be at your best.

Chinese saying " mirror flower , water moon"
This is a very deep Chinese saying and it means that life is just an illusion and everything is just a reflection of our eye sight. The flower reflection in the mirror is just an image and it is not real while the reflection of the moon on the water is only temporary and with a wave of our finger on the water, the moon can jusf disappear like magic Life is like what it depict only a temporay reflection in our eyes. One moment it is there and the next it is gone .
In Buddhism , there is a concept of impermanence and everything is changing from second to second without the host knowing it. Human being is wonderful creature. Many million cells are dying and millions get replaced . Our mind is also constantly thinking and moving . It is impossible for us to know all the changes within us.
What have is only the present moment . The past is gone and the future is yet to come . If we lost the moment , we are nothing but drifting in transition from moment to moment . We are not real but just a reflection.
We better be aware and appreciate the present which also slipping off from our fingers and make us nothing . Nothingness.

Happiness
Happiness lies within us and we can decide on it whether to be happy or not. But , every often we make other people happy to make our self happy. Why ? We don't need other people to make us happy and it is silly to think so.. Other's happiness is not our concern and we need to be happy our self.
However, gaining another person's approval or acceptance is one way to make us happy because we get the praise from that person. Their agenda is different from us as when we meet their agenda , they are happy and this makes us happy. Especially, his happiness makes them reward us or give us recognition.
But , it is still the donkey story . The donkey fell in the dry well and its enemy tried to pour sand on to it to burn it but the donkey just shake it of and grow higher and higher. The donkey did not care a damn about the famers.
Likewise, we can go wiser and wiser and not bother by other people's happiness or agenda. Why other people are happy , it is because if we perform better , then they also perform better . If we cause them to lose face or endanger their position or detrimental to their life or career or status , they will be angry and make your life miserable. If he or she is boss, then they will create misery for you. But, you can still ignored them and be happy. The happiness is within you , and only you.
Why are we so stupid to cater for other people's happiness. The priority is all wrong and our happiness should be the first priority.... Tell them to shaft their jobs into their mouth and be brave about it and hold your ground. Tell them that their authority goes with their job title and if it is taken away, they have nothing. All the authority and benefits follow the title .

Mental adultery
There are religious sayings that if we look at women with sex in mind , we are already committed an adultery. Why ? we have not done any harm to anybody ? It is only our dirty mind only.
In Buddhism, thinking is the first step and to be follow by action. So, in precaution, we stop the thinking ahead of the actions. But , this need not be the case as some of us only thinking about it and will forget it after our self gratification. This is only a moment of craving or desire which rise within our brain. We can just let it go and no harm is done. Why is it a sin ?
There are so many thoughts going through our mind and there will be a lot of sins if we consider thinking about it is a sin. Buddha's eight fold path is it forbidding this thoughtful sins ? Right action, Right thoughts , Right words , etc. Do we allow our mind to wonder and swing under the precept of Right thoughts ? I think it is only deterrent effect on this guiding precepts. When we don't want temptation, we must get away from the temptation. Just like we don't want to think dirty , we stop looking at girls or man which could trigger a dirty thought.
But, why do we look at pretty girls or handsome man and then stirred up our urge ? It is an instinct and a natural re-action from our inner self. Man are born with a hot - blooded desire. Otherwise, how do our population continued to grow. Who cares what we think ? It is all in our mind and nobody can see. We only feed guilty our self if we have dirty thoughts. All self contained .
I believe we see and think without action is still okay but without starting a desire to hurt or kill another person or act to hurt their integrity or human rights. In other words, we can do whatever we can in our mind to gratify our self if our mind is not properly trained or discipline. It is all our actions, our sin and our karma. Nevertheless, we can train our mind in a proper manner , then we should do it and kill all this thoughts at its bud.
We are what we are and think and act within.

Blame
Last weekend, I listen to a youtube talk by Ajahn Brahm who talks about the subject of blame. The blame game is in all our everyday's life and we cannot stop people from blaming us.
He said that people will blame us for everything that does not happen nicely to them. Once, he was asked to give a chant at a patient's deathbed and the patient recovers subsequently but the family members scolded him as they have already prepared the funeral for their terminated ill relative. All the relatives have came from overseas and must come again if the patient really die. Ajahn said that he should ask the patient's family members what kind of chanting they want. Should he chant to sent the patient to die or to live. Yes, this is a blame game.
Another incident is a donkey who fell in a dry well. The farmers have been very angry with the donkey for damaging their crops and started to push the sand into the well to bury the donkey. Initially, the donkey gets edgy but after a while, the donkey stamp on the sand and gets higher and higher and finally, jump out from the well. Ajahn said that it is up to us to take the blame but each incident , we will go wiser and taller. We may not notice in the growth in us but we gets better and wiser . Human being is a strong creature and we can control our re-actions and can make wise decisions.
A blame can be positive or negative and it is all entire up to us. We can change the hurt and the pain into a positive strength . Let it be and do not look revenge but to live on well with not regrets.

Trust and doubts
In a Chinese saying " If you doubt a person , don't use him and if you decide to use the person, we have to give him complete trust ". It has been my policy and many a times, it was disappointing . It comes from both ways from the top or from the bottom.
From the top, if we are using our subordinates to do a job and give him a complete trust and in the end, we are either played out or they failed us. Greed and integrity are the main issues. After awhile, the subordinates go out of line and make decisions which do involved you and make a wrong decision as he or she fells that they are ready or become more knowledgeable.
From the bottom, the boss who used to trust us thinks that we are getting too big and over ride them. If it is true, the boss have all the rights to be angry but if it is misguided thinking or a fraction of his imagination , then it is very unfair to the subordinate who have been rooting all the time for the boss. This misguided action or response could be very hurting and can damaged the rapport between the boss and the subordinate. Either the boss is getting too big and gets suspicion or there is a gap already existing between the boss and subordinate. They have broken the link of communication and have eroded the trust between them. If this gap remains unhealed , it will get bigger and bigger and it could end in the relationship.
A trust takes years to grow and it can be broken in one day.

Sunday's today
Sunday's today
It was raining heavily last night and there was thunders and lightning as if the Gods were angry . The clashes of the thunder and lightning caused explosions as the Gods unleashed their power at each other causing the havoc and noise . I was awaken and could not sleep. Why the Gods are arguing and fight it out ??? Strange .
I have wake up at 8am and fetch my sisters to visit some properties and we had a cuppa while on the way. After visiting the properties , we had tim sum for breakfast . Again, we were on our way to see more properties . My sister is thinking of buying a property for her daughters .
After buying lunch for my wife , I took a power nap and I spend the whole afternoon lazying around in my living room. It is the same every Sunday , I would just sleep in front of the TV and changing for the right channel. It is a boring stuff but it is a necessity for me.
In the night ,it was birthday dinner celebration for my 2nd sister . All my family members gathered for a dinner and drinks. We had a good time and it was the end for another day.
Time have flew and we start another week tomorrow .

Famous Jakarta traffic jam
The famous Jakarta traffic jam
Sitting in the car and queuing in the famous jam in Jakarta is really no fun and joke . The traffic jam can last one to two hours during the morning and evening time as people rush to and from work. It is really dragging our feet In the jam moving inch by inch .
I was told one of the reason is that the traffic volume is too much and the Jakarta Government have implemented a system that allows odd and even number plate cars to enter the city on an alternate . You must remember which day to us which car . Hence , one person will have two cars to ensure that he is allow to travel by car each day. There are intermediate jams along the highways as the cars float the highway during morning rush and evening home coming trips .
It needs a lot patience on the road and it sometimes burn into our cores as boring sets in . One thing for sure , we must use the toilets ahead of each trips on the highways as the jams are unpredictable and sudden. We will be in a mess if we are caught in a jam and having to use the toilets . It will definitely a painful experience .
It is a plan to avoid trouble and not plan for failures .

The moment
The moment
Another Saturday and after my morning yoga session , I am resting before lunch at May's Siting and waiting for my wife .
I am aware of the day's movement and feeling a bit restless and uneasy . I cannot focus on the TV and my mind is everywhere switching from thoughts to thoughts . My emotions shifting from a resting pace to an agitating mood. I have been training my mind at my own pace yet I cannot control the changing pace.
I am aware that time is moving fast and now is noon and in a while is evening and then night .
What is my purpose today ? Just resting , no urgent matters .
It will be a slow pace against a fast passing time .
Now is November , last month was October and next month is December . Then it will be 2017.
Wow.. Time really flies . Yeah , the thought is how many 10 years to we have . Live in a routine or a circle is really living ? No worries , eat , sleep and work is these all that matters .
Only have to aware billy not doing anything about it is living .
No. Awareness is not enough but to live and do something or anything which makes a difference matters . Help a person , teach a person or break a routine and to find freshness in our living is important .
Buddha says : learn to wait . Everything has its own time .

Nothing to do
In life, there are many arm chair critics and smart alex . There is nothing to do but want to create something to do. Just open their gap and shoot blanks and create a confusion and make them look important. These people do not have political backbones. Just shooting blanks and make noise.
On the other side, the soft ear fellows . There will listen to everything that barks and will doubts in their mind. There will create a lot of imaginations and want everything to be check . Even those clearly and logical things also they want to clarify.
IF we pull these two group of people together, the whole world will be topsy turvy and make the whole whole confused. These two group of people will talk and continue to talk which one side creates a situation and they points out many problems. Like the song which goes like this " someone want ot abuse and someone want to be abused" . Just it rattles on and on and on in no endings.
There is a saying " one type of rice , feed 100 types of people ". So it is an ever ending song.
So much noise, so much rattling and so much people without back bones and they need each other to lean on before they can stand.

It never happen before
Last night , I was caught in a massive jam and it has never happen before . So jammed pack until I cannot move when return home last night . I kept grumbling and scolding in the air and only in the morning , I understood . The whole town was flooded and the highway was the main road leading to the town centre.
Suddenly, I remember of a story of a man who is always very angry with things and one day, his father asked him to put a nail on the fence each time he gets angry. In a week, he saw that he has nailded 100 nails on the fence and run to his father and tell him. His father told him to remove each nail from the fence if he is not angry. In the next one week, he could removed all the nails from the fence and he ran to tell his father . His father took him to the fence and show him all the holes on the way. The man have became more patience and not so hot temper in the process but the father told him that what is said will leave a mark in people's heart. Each scolding or strong remarks will leave a nail hole on the wall as if in the heart of the people , he has scolded .
We can say all the things we want but have to be aware that each remarks have a consequence and it is very hard to remove it. So , when it is jammed and you feel very angry for being unable to move, you better remember this story and keep your temper down. I know it is impossible but it has to be done.

This raining season
The raining season now is much heavier than the past seasons , the weather is changing and it is becoming more severe. There are landslides , flood and tress falling by the roadside. Why is it happening ?
There is a meaningful saying , You reap what you sow ... Yeah, do good, be good and good will come to you. I have been telling my daughter that this is the law of Karma. It really happens .
If the people in this world do more sins , the Universe will re-act . Like the carbon dioxide which is buying a hole in the sky. The excessive carbon will change heaven and it will open up the weather to a severe change. The Sky is reacting to the " no good " actions from the earth which would unleashed their adverse impact on the world. We better to believe before we are completely wipe off from this world.
The rain is not even heavier, the roads are giving way and the jam gets worst and worst . Going to work was only a 30 minutes thing but now , it took me an average of an hour. The world is getting smaller, the buildings are getting higher, the road are getting narrower , the population is getting larger , the cost of living is getting higher and the distance between two places is getting flatter and nearer. What is happening ? The world is changing fast and we have to change faster in order not to be crushed.

Nowadays, madness is everywhere. The Reds come out to demonstrate with 700 people and they claim 10,000 and they show a silat with masked actors and canning themselves to show their power. Shame and shy lah but yet they collect the rubbish they left behind and put it in front of a gate to show their displeasure and finally caught by the police. What an idiot ? Don't they know that they cannot litter in the public ? Morons . pea brain or fish brain... no wonder they sell fishes.
Another Minister asked Police to block all the roads to prevent bersih5 .. another pea brain. he also say the donation of 2.6 is different from the donation from OSF ... another fish brain remark despite It was shown that the funds came from 1MDB.. why are this people blind > they only see what they want to see... There is other Minister who blamed DAP from splitting the Malays but it turn out that PAS accused them from splitting the party... Pea brain again.
Even the CM of Sawarak scolded the Government for converting their teacher's training college into a college and also scold the stupid people who rejected the teaching of English. I admired the CM from speaking up. A CM scolding the PM , Haiyooooo fish brain.

Rain, rain, rain . Here comes the flood
Rain, rain , rain . Here comes the flood.
On last Saturday, it was raining cats and dogs for the whole day and the night before ie Friday night until the area near my house was flooded . I know that there was no flood like this nature for about 20 years ago, when my mother's house flooded with water up to my chest . As I waved my way to my mother's house , I could fell the strong undercurrent sweeping my feet . It was a scary incident . This time it was not as bad but the roads out of my area was flooded and people and vehicles could not go through and has caused a massive jam.
Now I know that the state government have been asking for a RM350 million funding to alleviate the flood situation since 2008 and it has been delayed until today for political reasons.
This is only a fraction of the 1MDB's financial failures and this is dirty politics to deny the funding to Penang. What has these chinese parties ie MCA , Gerakan have been doing ? Only knows how to bark and listen to their political masters .
Useless idiots and parasites and only roaring their ugly heads when election time comes around . Really useless barking dogs and have the face to hang around and make all the nasty and stupid remarks .
This is the voice of an angry man who is a tax payer and wish to demand the rights of a citizen whose environment have been threaten. Hope these idiots understand the law of karma . Reap what you sow , idiots.

My friend , Rahman
I have a foreign friend who has became a close friend over a period of 10 years in an overseas Joint Venture . Although, we are working for different employer, we understood each other's responsibility and we have maintained a win-win relationship for our different masters .
Recently ,he lost his job due to the office politics in his employer's company . He was dishearten very much as he has help them to build their business empire during the 20 years with them . This is the reality of a professional working for their masters . Nobody is indispensable however good you are . If your position works for them , you are much in demand and if not , you are fired .life is like that , no relationships and as an employee , we are paid for our time and our loyalty and work. If you become a threat or liability to some masters , you will be gone in no time .Period.
So , I wonder when people talk about a career , it is not how you want it to be but rather how it should be in a certain situation. Be prepared to pack your bags if you want to follow your principles and be righteous .however , not all careers are like this way. For those lucky people , they have their own ways and serve their masters well. But the percentage is small. Employers are just people and they are greedy and power hungry . This is the nature of human beings .
Learn to dance in the rain and be prepare to be replace at any time to avoid disappointment .

Madness of the day
It has been raining . The whole day raining and it really spoilt our programme for the day and we become more agitated or emotional and we could get into the heat of the moment and can become extremely impatient on the road while we want to get out of the rain . Our mentality is that a dry and windy situation is for our day and anything which is not in line really screw us up.
This happens to my daughter . She runs a café and on Monday , it was raining the night before and also on the morning of Monday. It was wet and jammed on the roads and people gets to work late and was reluctant to go out for lunch and this action impacted a lot of restaurant and café. The rain make it bad for the F&B business. This rain continued into Tuesday today and it keep the customers away and out of the blues , she got into a quarrel with her chef and got emotionally flip out and went on a hide and seek with her chef for almost three hours.
This kind of emotion is very normal especially when you face the reality of losing money in your business, you become abit worked out and freak out . This is business and you don't know when your customers is coming or not. But from the hind side , everything is right. So, when it is coupled with raining the whole day, gloomy sky and wetness, everything can be messy and heaty.
However , one sunny cannot make a summer and one raining day do not make a raining season. Business can be up or can be down and all we can do is to wait for the sparrow in the summer.

Re-thinking
I have read a story about a monk who said that we have to unlearn to learn. It is just like a tea cup , it it is full , we cannot add anymore tea. We have to empty it before we can fill it up again. Yes, the story have another part and not only we have to empty it , it takes more than that.
There was this man's experience with the previous Dalai Lama. He did not believe that there is an existence of highly spiritual man in this world until he met the Dalai Lama. On their first experience , the Dalai Lama took out two cups and put on the table and start to pour tea into the first cup and than on the 2nd cup, After finishing , he asked the visiting foreigner " Do you understand ? " and the foreigner was surprise . " Understand what ? ". The Dalai Lama smile and told him " Yes, this is the way to start ". We have to admit what we don't know before we get to know. If we start to give our version of the story than the tea cup is full and cannot absolved anymore.
So , we have to admit that all our decision is wrong before we can re-think. We are often mis-led by external sources or internal understanding and only that we admit that all decisions or understanding is wrong before we can re-think.

A humble experience
Last Sunday , I was at Mama veggie at Tanjung Tokong Penang for lunch with my brother and sisters and I was suddenly called to remove my car. I believe my car have parked in the correct spot but I accept the waiter's request and walk down to the car park.
Standing there at the door was a young lady and she bow and apologize to me for the inconvenient. I thought she was a member of the restaurant and I complained that my car was in the right park slot and how come it hinders another car from coming out. She bowed every low and apologized again that the driver do not know how to reverse her car.
On arriving at the spot, I reversed my car into another parking slot and the young lady walk towards the other car and get into it. The lady driver reversed directly out and then I know the reason . She is unable to reverse her car properly . The lady driver put up her right out of her car and wave to say sorry again. Then I realized that the young lady which have walk me to my car is her daughter and I was very impressed with her humility. The way she bow makes me feel relieved and took away my anger or protest.
I felt the young lady must have some spiritual awakening where she sincerely apologized to me for making me walk and adjust my car. Yes, not all of us have the spiritual awakening but this humility of this young lady really impressed me. I am convinced that there are some special people and we will be touched by them when we meet them in our life journey.

Rain , rain, rain . Here comes the Sun.
Now , it is the raining season and it has been raining whole of Sunday, most of Monday and early of Tuesday. Everything is so gloomy and wet . Bleak should be the right word. It is no point going into the open as everything is wet and sticky. So , boring and it is jam everywhere as everyone bring out their cars on a raining day.
There was rumor of strong winds and high sea and people have been warned not to go nearby the sea. It brings back the Tsunami feelings as the roads get flooded and people's anger on the rise. There is so many stupid drivers , changing lanes at the last moment and idiot bikers coming in fast from the left and the right throwing the on-going traffics in spins. What happening to the civil consciousness of the people ? Everyone is for themselves.
The dark clouds and gloominess is really bad for our emotions. When we see the place is wet and damp , our mood also will change with the situation. We will shift into our blue mood or into our gloomy mood. Nothing can change our mood but the weather. We can hear coughs everywhere and you feel sick in such environment. People falling sick around you or you get sick yourself. It could be pretty messy at times.

Right now thinking
Right now
It is a Sunday night and it is still drizzling lightly outside . Tomorrow is a working day and I have been lazing the whole afternoon and I have just finished watching the ending of the Astro series Law Dis-order and watch how justice prevail over evil.
Before that there was a movie walking talk and the story line is how a stand against injustice and evil prevail in the end .
But , in life , it is never so perfect and at time evil prevail over good especially when the good let the evil grow while been good . For good to remain good , is not always an ideal way. Where the light retreat , the darkness expand and it is always so real in our life.
Just like politics , the rough and tough will win over the peaceful believers unless the police and the good public bring out its awareness and take action against it . It is sad to note that the number of the bad is so few and yet it dictates the peace or the situation. It is a wonder how
The darkness takes all the opportunity to dictate if they are given a chance . This is precisely the situation of Bersih which is roughed out by the red hooligans which pretend to be a race hero.
Justice is not only need to be seen to be done but actual it is done .

Too much of everything is bad
Too much of everything is bad
The weather . This is the reason for people to blame when they are late or gets unwell. The recent raining season is often considered as excessive as it caused havoc to a lot happenings .
During the hot spell, the weather was also blamed for the heat and people getting unwell for getting heated up. It also proved that the excess or the extreme of the weather has do more harm than good.
Yes, an alternate of each happening is often considered as perfect . But how can things be perfect all the time and it will become boring in the end . A little of adversity makes life more challenging and interesting .if you stare at a blank piece of paper for long , it blinds you to the beauty of colors.
Raining days can be very annoying but if it is hot every minutes , it is just as upsetting .
Like I have said before both extremes are not good for us .
Alternate or moderate rain or sunshine is the best .
Too much aex is not good for our health , too much food is fattening and many others where excess consumption or action is detrimental to all of us.
Be aware of this needs and we will be healthy and happy.

Even a King can die ....
Even A King can die...
The passing of the Thai King at 88 after 70 years of rule ratters the region as he was a symbol of stability for Thailand . Yes, lately, he struggled against bad health and sickness and was medically propped up and kept alive .
How great a person in his life have to face death. It is inevitable and inescapable and everyone have to face death one day even as this age of advanced medicine . More so in the land of Buddhism as the Buddhist believed the theory of birth , age , sickness and death. The late King has illustrated this belief and the teaching of the Buddha.
As he is like a father to all the Thailand people and have ensure peace during his rule , there must be a lot of merits for his case in Buddhism. He will have good karma for himself.
His death illustrate the fragility of life ,impermanence and uncertainties in life . As a good man he should live until a 100 and illustrate a example of doing a lot of good. Buddha also die at his early eighties , Sai Baba also die at 84 and many great people die early . So, this illustrate that life is uncertain and only death is certain. In simple words, we would not know when we will die and death is certainly the end for everyone.
So, live on well and not just live for the sake of living .

Do we really live ?
Are really living or just merely passing through ? Most of us don't really know what we want in life and flowing what other people have been doing or having must be the right thing to do in life ? People struggles for wealth , frame and sex and these achievements must be the target in our life. There was a survey done on the dying and old and sick people and they regretted what they have don't done or the risk that they have not taken. These are the lasting regrets.
How much do we know what we really want ? struggling for wealth at the expense of health ? It is bull shit. At the end of the day, all the wealth is to use to cure the ill health. Is it for frame ? No. after we die , we will be forgotten in a short time. Is it for wine , women and song ? After getting much of it , it gets bored. Then what is it we want in life ?
If we slow down and think about it , enough is enough and contentment is everything . We earned enough , we live well , we eat well and we do whatever we want to do and fulfill all our desires or cravings we need. We enjoy the things we want to do and be passionate with life. We eat what we want to eat, we enjoy without any worries. We expect nothing but the fulfillment of our dreams which need not much money, power and frame. We come with nothing and we go with nothing.
But , this is not the case. We want to compare with others. Follow the Jones . We want a bigger house, we want a faster car, we want relationship with as many women or man as possible. we want more money, We want more power and we are greedy for more. But, all these are passing emotions or illusions. The more money means more power and more power means more authority over other human beings. Like the face of the moon on the water , it is temporary and illusionary. With a stone throw, the image is rattled and it is fake. Time will kill all images and memories.
We come into the world so free , we should live as freely as possible and going away without regrets. Everyone have the same journey, so why make it so difficult and complicated. The start is the same, the journey is the same and the end is the same. Why being so difficult to yourself ?
People say if we strive on the common project, we will develop the world . Is the development necessary ? Are there other ways to live better ? All these are subjective and personal.

When people failed to get what they want, they ask why ? There is no answer to this question why and maybe it is not the time yet. It will tell you when is the right time to meet after studying the profile of the people attending the meeting and where it is the most suitable catalyst or place to meet. The most important is the timing. You maybe skeptical of these art or science but it has gone through thousand of years and refinement to be of some success. Many Chinese business people belief in such art or science.

It will tell you when is the right time to meet after studying the profile of the people attending the meeting and where it is the most suitable catalyst or place to meet. The most important is the timing. You maybe skeptical of these art or science but it has gone through thousand of years and refinement to be of some success. Many Chinese business people belief in such art or science.

Thai massage at One Stop Mall at Pulau Tikus , Penang
I have seen a lot of interest in Thai massage on my blog and I would like to introduce the Thai Massage in Penang. Recently, massage has been my regular routine as I aged and feel more lively after that.
We have many Thai massage places in Penang and there are two such Thai massage centers in the One Stop Mall in Penang. Another pretty upmarket one is Thai Odessey ie one in Gurney Plaza and one in Straits Quay. There is also a reasonable Thai massage center in Lorong Selamat ie KRR. I was told by my Brother in law , that it is quite reasonable.
My preference is the massage of my back and buttock as I sit about 6 hours everyday at my desk and I need to massage my back and buttock to improve the blood circulations to my backside and leg. Age is not a number, it is real
My sister in law was with my family last weekend and she aged so much and after hurting her back , she even walk or act like an old lady. A few years ago, she told me that age is just a number but even after so much yoga exercise, there is no stop to aging It is for real.
Last night , I met my classmate who I have not seen 20 years ago and I was shocked at the sight of him He is bald , his eye brows has turn white and he looks really old. He and his wife have adopted many children, They love kids, He starts to talk about old times and it was really good to see him
He is not the only one I met and I also met another friend for past 10 years last sunday and he really aged like my friend I saw last night, There is no escape, I am becoming like them . Old , bald and haggard, This is for real,
For me , I have experienced different body pain for the first time . My eyes could just felt very painful and with double visions, my eyes is so tired that the pain spread to my right arms and I could just experienced some sudden pain and this goes away after a short while. I do not have such experience before and I went for a check up at a clinic and the Doctor told me that it is a sigh of old age. My muscles will start to deteriorate at different parts of my body and it will caused such sparms of pain. It may get old with age,
I have stop practicing Tai Chi for a few months and I will have to resume soon to provide my the flexibility and balance The slow motion movement maybe appropriate now to keep me alive and well. Yeah, it is time to let go and consolidate my investments and slow down to handle a slow life as I aged.

My trip to Hatyai , Thailand
Last weekend , I took a short trip to Hatyai , a two days and one night holiday. I was shocked at the long queue going into Hatyai and the long container queue coming out of Hatyai, the following day. I wonder why the procedure is so primitive like when I was in Bangladesh twenty years ago. Why isn't somebody do anything about it. But , the trip was not all unpleasant.
The people were friendly, the Chinese food was good and the price of things were about 50% cheaper than in Penang and 70% cheaper than in KL It was amazing that such good food can be so cheap and it was really a wonderful trip, I had two massage in a day, it could only 300 bahts for a two hours massage which is about RM50 and I have to pay RM150 in Malaysia, However, my two session was not so good but it is my tate or I maybe expecting a more thorough job.
The dinner on Friday night was amazing , we have two markerel fish , a big squid, one viggie, cockerels, chickel , two big crabs, one grass noodles with big prawns and it cost only RM150 for the dinner, The taste was fantastic and the environment was really good,
I went around the wet market and there was so much fresh foods and it was really cheap. It must be a really shopping paradise for women, That was what I was told .
One of the local told me that the Government give business grants of RM60K and it was to provide employment to the local people and they only have to furnish records of customers going to their shops to buy things or to get services. There was so many café, massage centres and food stalls in Hatyai.
For my trip, I have a teo chew food for lunch, a seafood dinner, a koay teow soup for breakfast and a kampong chicken rice for lunch before leaving for Penang.
The whole traveling journey excludes the clumsy immigration told me only 3 hours drive from Penang to Hatyai . But , a word of caution , please avoid long holidays where the queue will take hours to clear at the immigration , It is really an amazing that the immigration procedures have not change for 40 years at least.

The falling maple leaves
There was a saying that after a storm some leave will fall. It is not necessary the old leaves but some young leaves as well. At times, it is not necessary the old leaves will die and fall first but some young buds will fall as well. When the wind comes, only the strong will stand and the weak will fall.
Old does not mean weak and young does not mean strong. Sometimes, it depends on the direction of the wind which hit the leaves. All those fated to drop will drop where those fated not to fall will remain.
So strength , direction of the storm and how the leave takes the storm will determine outcome of the leave. Life is like this , there is a lot of evolution and changes will occur if it is destined to happen. There is no question of why or how ? Things cannot be explain at times and it just happen for a reason or not.
We can protest for its unfairness or for lack of justice. It is of no help as whatever happens it is for an unknown reason. It is just like the age old question, why does Time move so fast ? Why can it stop for a moment. There is no answer to it. It has been happening this way for billion of years and tracked by countless of intelligent people. Time just stop for no one. Not for the great or the small or helpless.
So, we have to accept the motion of evolution as things or human beings dropped for no reasons. Just accept and face it and let go.

My last week's happening
My friend have asked me how I want to spent my long weekend holidays. I told him that I just want to sleep , sleep and sleep. He was surprised as usually people will travel on a long weekend. But, for me, it is a time to rest, detox and sleep . To catch up with my lack of sleep. Many friends joined me and agreed with me in whatsapp chat room Yeah, there must be many tired friends around.
However, I have to experience through the weekend . One experience was on sunday breakfast time where I met a friend who I have not met in the past years. He was with his wife and he retired 10 years ago with his wife and he took up painting as his pastime, Yeah, after retirement , his appearance aged a lot and this is sometime I am worried about and how to spend my retirement years purposefully. I don't have an answer.
The next experience was that I met my high school football coach. He looks the same as he was in my high school years , trim and fit and he is still working in the mall. I think he should be about 65 years old but he looks young. I think he must be still playing football or coaching in some club and he was once a state footballer. He used to practice football together and he was tough to himself during the practice. He could still remember my name and I was shocked to see him at his fit self.
These two experience enlighten me of the way we should keep ourselves healthy and youthful. It is all in the mind and also physically possible to be young forever. I have seen yogis who keep their top energy and live a active life until their ripe old age, Everything is possible.

Power, money and sex
In this world, these three temptations are the basic cravings of mankind. I have been watching the series , Law dis-order , an astro show which illustrate the full impact of these three elements in life.
For power, greed is the underlying factor . The greed for more power and this is basically after making enough money , power became the subsequent drawing. It is the second element but it is the most powerful of all as it can destroy and kill for the love of power. Once , you have become king , you cannot let go , the power you have enjoyed as the king To let go of the power you have is so difficult and humiliating at times
For the love of money, it is the basic factor . The more the merrier and after the millions, you will want the billions and subsequently the trillions Yes, greed is also the underlying factor. The love for money is driving force of life. Some people work until death for money, There is a saying money is not everything but money is one thing we cannot don't have . Yes, money cannot buy a minute of time at your dying day but it is very comfortable to have plenty, People struggle for power to make money or after making money, they use money to gain power It can be both ways but the logical way is getting money and power will come naturally.
The final factor is sex. With power and money, it corrupts people and these rich and power will spend money on sex or get sex favors. It is inevitable that power , money and sex is not separable . Power and money will corrupt and sex will come naturally unless nature intervened. The number of women at most times indicate the power we have. Power and money also attracts women who admires the achievement of the the rich and powerful
In the show law dis-order, it illustrate the three factors evolving around a big legal firms with the partners trying to kick out each other for money and power and the use of sex for office politics to win favors and support to out do each other These are the basic faults in successful human beings and how the lawyers use their planning and tactics to create different perceptions to win their legal battles.
All the evolving and facts of life was illustrated in the show which showed the ugly sides of human beings to be powerful and rich, It depends on your own judgement what is right or wrong as there is no such thing as right or wrong. It is your own decision and perception.

Wisdom is not old age.
Every often we noted that old people have more wisdom or the older, the wiser or the old eat more salt than we eat rice. This is a logical deduction but one of my friend told me that this is not necessary . Yes, I agreed but in general , this should be true and logical.
Those old sage or guru is often old and for a young sage , it looks more like a fake. Young but wise. The percentage of people in this category is very small.
However , wisdom is also a perception. People like Robbin sharma or Ajahn Braham or Earl have expressed all their wisdom on their lecture but not all truth is the truth. What is truth could be an illusion or a distract ? Something that you try to catch with your hand but it vanished. Today ,you see the truth but when you look at it the next day, it is different . At different time, different place and among different people, the truth may not be the truth. On the surface , what we see could be the truth but doing deeper , it is not so. Or on hearing more, what we know maybe fake.
When you asked whether GOD is the true ? some people can tell you that they feel touched by GOD, some people still trying to reach GOD or some mathematician fellas will ask you to show proof ? many people will tell you that what you cannot feel or see can also exist. Others may tell you that seeing is believing.
I have experienced that when my car's alarm suddenly ring as I am driving but there is no obstacles or things around the car. Some people will say that I have hit something that my eyes don't see . Yes, a strong wind could have tip the alarm . What you want to believe is the making of your own mind and also the experience and knowledge in you.
But I know that there are stupid [people in any society who choose to believe what other people say instead of experiencing it themselves. Some people believe what other people say without any queries or facts. That is why they are stupid people.

Freelance Rover
Last night , my daughter sent me an whatapps asking me what is a freelance rover . I asked her why she wants to know the meaning and she told me that his friend told her that he is a freelance rover. It is a nice term and I believe that during my earlier years, we have a famous 4 wheeler by the brand name Land Rover. So, I told her it is a freelance moving vehicle or a carefree spirit or wondering ghost or a free loader or a waste wood. These people is still searching for a life or a direction and is moving on without direction until their time is called.
In this generation , there is no fixed career . What is a career ? This is make by our Establishment and we have to have a career to be normal . That is not true anymore. Everyone is looking for their passion or their path and it is no more , going up , go to school, get a degree , get a job , married and start a family and finally reached our final destination. There is no such thing as 9 to 5 in this age and everyone is trying to work flexi and work at whatever time and finished at whatever time they like. The whole concept about life is gone and broken up.
The awareness of the unnecessary need to follow the billions of people before us and the path they have walked and created is rising and people is living the way they like and the way they want. The old concept don't hold water anymore and it is how to live our life meaningful and happily. This is the most important objective now.
The awareness of living well and not living long is being highlighted by so many school of thoughts and advertisement. The saying like " life is a journey and not a destination " is very true and we have to live for every moments and to be conscious of the passing time instead of in a dream and in a world of make belief.
Wake up now and change for the sake of a happier life and breakaway from the old concept of having a career but rather be a wondering spirit and look for the rightful path.

In the twilight zone
I still cannot forget the experience of sitting among the elders during a recent wedding reception. It lays in front of my eyes , the future or the mirror of me in my twilight years. It is another 10 years more , I will be that generation and will be like them. What is another 10 years ? How many 10 years do we have ? All these queries are going through my mind in these few days.
The future that I see is scary and put me into my senses. One of my aunty could hardly walk, another uncle have kidney problem , another one is having ghout and pain in hands and legs and another aunty have a knee problem. All of them have aged so much and look so fragile. Wow, how time flies when I saw them in good health at my age.
At lunch time, I was with friends and one friend told me that as we aged, we need different type of medication or supplements to sustain us and keep us living our normal life. I fully agreed with him and this is what I have been experiencing. There is no cure for old age and we can only delay the process of aging and finally , we have to go the natural way. It is not surprising as nature evolves.
Some young people starts calling old man already and I could remember , it starts with the call as Brother , then Uncle, then old man and finally grandpa. This is the nature of advancing age and we should accept aging gracefully. Lets be aware that there is no cure and it is a one way traffic or a one way ticket to our final destination.

Wolf in a sheep skin
I have received a message from a friend and she told me that she felt cheated on a job offer which took 5 months to near conclusion . It is either a scam or some agencies is trying to reserve her until a job offer . She asked for my opinion and I told her that it is funny and she should not wait for the job or have any high hopes for it . She should moved on and keep searching for a job which she likes. There is someone out there is looking for someone like her.
It takes the right time , right place and the right people to come together to have a successful relationship. For some people it is never mend to be and they have to compromise their hopes and their path forward . For some people , it is love at first sight and just right from the start.
Life happens In its mysterious ways and we have just follow the flow . Just do sometime we like either big or small.. Life is too short to ponder and regret .
Sitting around doing nothing cannot stop the moving time so must as well do what your heart wishes . Don't forget time stops for no one including the rich and famous.

A wedding dinner
A wedding dinner
Last nite I attended a dinner and I was seated among the elders in the front row. I have graduated to the rank of the seniors . Wow. How time flies . The older generation elders in my table are the uncles and aunties and there were already in their 70s and 80s. I am next in the rank. All around our tables were the younger generations and they drinking , laughing and enjoying themselves while the elders just sat and eat . Just talking about yesteryears if there were any conversations . It was dull and boring while the food served was not so good. Yes, the weathered faces of the people on my table have seen the years in them . There were singing and the usual display of video of the day's celebration and it don't seem to matters to the people in my table. They just want to eat but I was selective and volunteered to serve . I was among the youngest on the same table . One of the singing participant was a 93 years old man who is the relative of the groom and he showed good health and strength and was admired by the people in my table which is only a shade of the old man . I was told that he lived in the country side and the environment was suitable for a good living . Yeah. Maybe away from the stress and the chemical in the food . Ingredients for a healthy living . The main point is the age is not stopping for all of us and it is better to live well and be healthy . It is not how long but how well. Namaste .

Nothing is static
This was the wisdom of Lao Tze, a Chinese sage many thousand of years ago. In his book, the way of the truth reminded us to change with time and situation. The world changing very fast through the use of internet, IPhone and all the gadgets linked with it. The world is getting nearer , connected and space-less.
Lao Tze have realized this direction and his way or tao is to follow and change with time.
I read an article that the Gen-Z which is now around 15 years old will out earned and out live all the generations before them. The world is their playing field with all the gadgets and medicine will so advance that they will live much longer. This is a true fact and we should not turn away this possibility. People normally want to see what they want to see or hear what they want to hear and the rest is rubbish. Maybe, this is a way to make them happy.
There are many things we can see forward and yet we don't think or act on it. I have told a friend that Penang island's property price will be like Singapore and Hongkong which is three or four times more than the land price in Penang. Everybody just don't react to this suggestions. If we buy a piece of property in Penang , in 10 years time it will be double the price and in 20 years , it will be treble the price. This is my seeing in the future and I hope this view firmly unless there are unnatural things happen. So, lets see.
There are many encounters like what I see in the land price in Penang island like the island will be much advanced in term of infra structure , tourism and population. Everything will change and grow and in great speed.
Be open and feel the change , it is happening very second , every minutes and it is evolving. What is present will be the past and what will be the future will be now and gone. Nobody is indispensable and all great or small man must pass with time and replace by a wave of new generations. This is nature and it cannot be change.
So, follow with it , live the patch and passes on .
