The day my assistant told me that her husband is practicing a Chinese Buddhist meditation technique that could delay aging , empowered the person practicing it as it will open up all our chakra and received the universal power from above. However, this fire if once started cannot be stopped and it has to be practice daily to keep the fire from burning.
I managed to persuade her to stop the practice as she was attracted to the Guru's wisdom and Buddhist knowledge. She told me it is a scam and yet she wants to know more. I told her usually a guru will be sweet talking and very knowledgeable and that is how they can attract their followers. I fear that one day she could surrender everything owned by her to this guru.
I told her that the practice is growing against nature and its objective of self promotion or self fulfilment is not a correct concept, In meditation, we should not hope for something to happen or you can gain something from the practice. We should be kind to our self and we should expect nothing and let things to happen by itself. We should only practice the pose and the forms will come by itself. If we spend too much time to force our self into the form, it will only hurt our self . The form should come by naturally.
She suspected the guru is a trying to set up money making machine by expanding its followers and charge a fee. She told me that possibly that she learn the practice without following the teaching but I told her that it is impossible . how cab we drink beef source but consider not eating the beef?
Once we find that the soup is good, we will go for the beef ? The greed is always demon in us.
The only way is to avoid it and stay away from it and observe the changes in the people who took up this practice. Often we could see that they are moving to their dark side and eventually hurt themselves. I told her to live simple, eat simple and have a simple mind and follow the Buddhist's natural way to birth, age, sickness and finally die . To alter our fate or path in life through unnatural means will bring us more suffering.
Namaste.
