Sick to my stomach
Lately ,the things which have been happening really make sick to my stomach.. The US Government shutdown, the wild wild west issue, the heaven and God issue, the MCA mockery that you step down and I will step down dance routine, etc. What is happening to us all ? So much negativity and controversial matters bring our peace life to disruption and havoc.
Why can't it be like before ? Peaceful and calm and everyone can get to live the life they want. All these happenings are due to politics and self interest. Can everyone come to their senses and keep politics out of our life ?
There are so many crowns around and pretending to be God and decide things their own way. Yes, we can keep our head in the sand and live a happy life but there are so much unfairness previaling which creates a lot of disturbances. My friend and colleagues told me that he is not reading the newspaper anymore to avoid getting angry at what is happening. Maybe, this is one of the good way to live a happier life. Then someone called me to voice out on the TPPA issue which if our Country were to get out, it will be disastrous to all of us doing business.
I know I write some comments on the topic that evil will get stronger if Goodness choose to nothing. But, how can one voice matters ? It has to depend on the people in position to do it and ratify the shortcomings instead of protecting their self interst.
What can I do but only to carry the sickness in my stomach and if I want to puke, I will go to the toilet. What the hell is happening to the world. GOD save us all !!!

Dinner at Yeng Keng , Penang
Family dinner at Yeng Keng restaurant, Penang
Last night, I had a dinner with my family, my BIL and his girlfriend and my daughter's friend , E. it is a Hainan Cafe and restaurant serving their clannish dishes.
My wife ordered two spring rolls, a " arh orh" - duck soup, a ikan Tumis , a mixed vegetable , belachan chicken and finished with a wet and dry " Sar hor Fun".
The taste was averagely good but the duck soup was too heavy with herbs. It cost about RM240 for six person..
During the dinner, we notice a lot of people eating the crispy egg white pudding which is like a big snow hill hold together with egg white burned by a gas burner. It was really a sight to watch.
Most of our topics were about catching up with what happen what in our life and what we doing to do. These were very personal topics.
But a casual stroll through the heritage hotel was a wonderful experience despite my third experience there at the site.
So much memories and history and so many people have passed by the place and many have died or have reborn.

Darkness at the expense of light
"Evil triumph ,when the good do nothing"
The society have gone back to the wild wild west age, when have gone will travel and the fierce stamp over the weak and darkness pushed back the light. This will also happen when everyone only care for themselves.
The recent shoot to kill or the logic of shoot first and ask later open us all to the fear of kill or be killed scenario. It is very frightening as it draw on us the existence of the wild wild west thinking. This lawlessness feeling is making us jittery and fearful.
This is what happen in the US where license guns are available in order to protect one's self. Are we going into that direction?
We must not encourage or cultivate this culture. If we promote the thinking of " killed or to be killed" , it will plead to dooms day. Everybody when confronted will attempt to kill first and ask later.
When the darkness starts to get stronger , the goodness should re-act with same or stronger intensity to balance the darkness. Otherwise, havoc and evil will prevail.
Evil is like lawlessness, stupidity and arrogance。There is always an agenda to promote once interest and in the process, the evil tail is expose and there is a sign for the good to re-act.
The evil exist in everywhere . In a nation, in a community , in a home or in a company.

Happiness & saddness - or perfect gray.
When there is happiness ,there is also saddness. Just like black and white but the middle is gray. Gray is the middle path ie no happiness and no saddness. I heard Ajahn Brahm said that life is fill with happiness and saddness in alternate intervals. Each feeling is between two points and the interval varies. Some times happiness last longer , some shorter and vice versa with saddness. So, if you feel saddness, it is only within two points. The length of the two points depends on you.
How do you train yourself to get out of this circle ? Alternating between Happiness and Saddness is very frustrating and annoying. If you experience a high level of happinesss, then you will experience a very high level of saddness. The range fluctuate with the height of each experience. If you keep your re-action of happiness in a very low range, then you will be able to restrict the level of saddness. The up and down range fluctuate in equal length.
If you train yourself to be aware of the emotions and not to re-act to it, then you have reached the Gray line , ie the middle path which is neither white or black or happy or sad. In this level, you have each the perfect level and you will find eternal peace and calm.
You can achieved this level, if you train your mind to be aware and not to re-act.

The fear in us.
The fear in us.
In our life, there are so much fear. The fear of dying, the fear of losing our job, our fear of being lonely, etc. There are thousand and one fears. We suppressed our thoughts , our actions , our ambition, etc and suffered in silence because of these fear.
Really. Why do we behave in these manner? Why can't we express ourself and break free from these fears. Why can't we speak our mind and to say "no". We become "yes men" out of these fear. We are trap in these fear and live our life around it. We can disagree to agree and still keep the relationship in our life.
When we subdue to fear , the fear inside us gets stronger and take control of us. If we fear someone, that someone takes control of us and abuse us. Just like the saying " the devil gets stronger when the goodness become more compassionate".
Live wisely and without fear. Face fear squarely and the fear will diminish at each confrontation. Look at it and into it and remained aware of its existence and the fear will fade away.

If it is the end, we don't give a damn.
Recently, I read of a phase in the FB which makes me felt the deep truth about human relationship. " Never push a loyal person to the poiint where they are no longer give a damn". This statement leaves me wondering how we treat our friends and staff.
If we continued to push our loyal staff or scold them for the errors they make, this action will push them to a point that of rebellion. It is only so much a person can absorbed and beyond the tippering point, they will feel numb or having no more passion to respond. Like I say, " enough is enough" and anything more will only hit a dead point.
I have noticed that are many "dead woods" in an organization and these employees have no more passion in their work and only choosing to pass their time in doing the routine work. Their fire is gone and they just drift along and doing what only needs to be done without pushing for the extras.
So, how do we motivate these "dead woods" ? It is a dilemma as it could be the boss that could have resulted in the killing of their subordinates' passion and leaving them to do what they have been doing. If we lifted these tyrannic boss and also inspire these " dead woods" to perform, there is a possiblity of a resumption of their passion and also an improved contribution of these people to the company or a project.
But, we should not forget the wisdom of " what goes around , comes around ". If we are good to people, people will be good to us but if we start to nasty to them, bad karma will come back to us. So, live and lets live.

Fate, that is what it is...
Fate , that is what it is.
There is a Chinese saying " when there is fate, a thousand miles away yet we will meet. If there is not fated, when we met it is like a stranger who pass me by". This wisdom have been passed down a thousand years and we don't know who is the writer. It does not matter here.
What I am saying is that in our life , thousands o people passed through our life as family members, friends, lovers, peers , strangers, benefactors , enemies, good friends, parent, etc in many roles and in many playing in our life . Some people stay longer in our lives and in many length influencing our thoughts , actions and decisions in our life.
It is so strange that it is as if the script of our life have been written in advance and we are merely playing our role and acting out the script。Hence. Who we are fated to meet have fixed. If we are aware of this script and if we choose another choice to avoid the script which we know is lay out for us, the deviating choice is like another script written out. But , it also seem that this was the original script.
So What is real and what is false is constantly changing and we are following the script. Therefore, if we choice to skip dinner and go hungry and is away from the normal routine. It turns out that you skip the routine as in the script。You are supposed to skip the dinner and get hungry. It is because you follow the script to make that decision and stay hungry.
In other words, the script have many possibilities and we can never jumped out of the script called "fate".
