A lot of people do not like to ask questions especially those questions which make them look stupid. But , I want to re-iterate here , there is no such thing as a stupid question. Every one deserve the right to ask question which affects them in their life and their work.
There are many people especially the Asian people who are very reserve and private. They want to maintain their image or avoid to be embarrass and suffered quietly in silence. I have attended seminars and talks and each time when there is question and answer session, there will be completely silence. Either the audience knows all or don't know at all. Most probably , it is the latter version.
In my younger days, I am also very shy and nervous and I could not even sit and make a good report and to stand infront of an audience to say something would be a disaster. Now, at my senior years, I could asked question infront of hundreds and could stand , think and talk. However, there are still occasions, when I have still butterflies in my stomach. Where has the stage fright gone ?
It is still there but I don't care anymore. If you have make the decision that it does not matter what other people look at you, then you lost the fear. If we fear of embarrassment , then it is the fear that defeat us . What is there to be shy of if we think that it is our right or desire to learn things that we don't know.
In the Asian culture, the education system and the teaching of " always to be humble" have make us to be what we are today. If we are force to stand up on a stage every time to say something or to sing, it will become very normal to us. But, if we are allow not to be take the stand, then, we will never make it to the stage. Our reserve nature and upbring, is putting us into a self trap.
We should push for change. We should encourage people to speak up and gain their rightful place. Once, when we were in China, the tour leader told us that Malaysian Chinese are very humble and quiet. Accordingly to him, China have changed and if we are still so humble and quiet, there is no place for us in China especially in the restuarants or eating outlets. We will also be abused and punished in silence. Why are we having to be 2nd or 3rd class person and let us climb all over us and suffer in silence.
I appeal to my reader . Do be scare of your fear to be embarrass. Stand out and be countered.

I was at Komtar, Penang
The changes are on-going to have face lift for this iconic building. It stands tall right in the middle of the town and as a landmark in the island. This building was the brainchild of Dr Lim Chong Eu, the former Chief Minister of Penang.
The build house the State Administration for Penang State and was under the BN - Gerakan rule for almost 20 years or more. It has deteriorated into a slump for petty traders until DAP took over the State Administration and the State Government.
For the past five years under DAP we can see the transformation of Penang under the CM Lim Guan Eng and the whole is getting lighted up and Komtar under gone a face lift and we could see the building regaining its past glory. Recently, the State Government is planning a further refurbishment of the building and making it useful once again.
From a walking dead, it has recovered its health and be useful with vigor into the future. Many investors and Citizen have look at Penang as a retirement home under the present leadership. With a healthy and robust environment , Penang is expected to into a bright future and for those past leaders who have make Penang like a slump. Please rest in peace.

The walking zombies
Living in a zombie stage is the most comfortable. No thougths , no feelings and just walking about . There are such people in the world who do not have the passion of life and the initiative to live and so something.
These are the walking deads or zombies.
Life must have been so comfortable that such zombies can to live and thrive. Not only they are dead but they have a crab mentality ,. They pounced on the living and pull them down. Their attitude is there should not be any perturding thumb and if there is any potential , it has to be hammered down. Everyone should be a walking dead and there is no exception of living.
In working life, there are such people . They become desperados , narrowed minded people, broken and do their job without passion and life and just getting jealous and irritated at other people's success or achievements. They despise hard working people with initiative to change or move things and they have hidden desire to pull back or down what is build or change . They also presented obstacles and have a shut mind that nothing need to be changed or revised except to follow them to walk in a routine. Do fall out of the routine as it will be uncomfortable and wrong.
This culture of crab mentality in a walking zombie stage readily find followers easily as it is more comfortable to live in a routine than a changing environment. Normally, people resist changes because it can be very uncomfortable. If we can do the same routine with out eyes closed, it would be better and excellent as these jobs don't need to thing or do the job differently.
If these zombies are allow their ways, the world will be stagnant or going backwards. Some people think that old is good and changes are bad but really , the world is changing and we have to keep changing with it in order to be sustainable and living comfortably.

When a person is mad, ignore him !
Lately, I read alot of mad statements and also encountered many mad man who looks normal and respectable but have a cockoo mind.
For instance, how can we suggest to kill the participants of a demostration for protesting at rising cost of living ? People are suffering and that is why they want to voice out their pain. Is this a democratic world or an evil thought of one man ? Is he sane when he talk of such punishment ? Mad fella and we should not be angry with such mad people ecept to tell them to shut the F.... up.
Another incident is why do they need to raid on an auspicious day to show the world that they are insensible ? This is another form of madness. People who are blind to other people's feelings. Mad fellas.
Why do we annouced our own cost measures after hiking up the Rakyat's cost of living by reducing subsidies and implementing additional taxes ? Won't it be better to do it the oppersite way. Another mad blunder.
How can we accused another of indulging in "devilish faith" by 10 hearsays and by own's interpretation ? Finally, asking another person to express this suspicion in the Public ? Where have the accusers' guts gone ? to the dogs?
Some BN women leader calling the Rakyat to migrate to other countries if they are not comfortable with the BN Policy. Is there no human right of dissent ? If that is the criteria, Malaysia's population will be reduced by half. Another mad person speacking. Maybe, it is her stupid way of getting rich.
How can be announced a person guilty without proving the person is guilty ? It should be that every person is deemed innocent unless proven guilty. Where in the world we have such system ? Back to stone age ?
How can we appoint a person who is an enemy of the accused to lead an accusation of the accused ? Is this simply a case of double jarpordy. There is no check and balance or unbias treatment.
Where on earth you can call yourself a democratic or a non racist party by funding an independent NGO who is a racist party ? Perkasa is the 14th BN component party . This is a laughing stock.
Where on earth can we have such minority controlling the majority ? Luckily , this is only a small number of such happening. It is the media who plays it up giving the platform for such mad minority the voice. We also have a mad press.

I almost die again
On the 1st day of 2014, I almost involved in a serious accident. It was in the morning and having not enough sleep, I drag myself out of my bed to bring the goodies which I bought in Taiwan to my sister's house.
I was at the junction of a traffic light and I was focusing on a couple on a bike in front of me. I did no see the traffic light and as the bike turn , I follow it to turn and suddenly, I saw a car speeding towards me on a head on diretion. I step on my brake and it was fortunate that it was just in time for the car to pass through. I woke up and found that the traffic light was still red.
What was I thinking about ? Yeah, maybe it is the tiredness from the overseas trip as my mental status have not fully recovered yet. I could be seriously injured or could be killed because the car was speeding to beat the traffic light. I think the car is driving about 120 km per hour.
This is the second incident. I remembered the first incident not so long ago, when I took the wrong turn and driving into another lane with on-coming traffic.
I know that with a slight twist of fate, things could be different and life is so fragile. Afte this incidences, I become more alert and relax in life. As I have often told my staff, life is uncertain , death is the only certain thing and we shall take life as it come and enjoy it to the fullest. We should learn how to dance in the rain.
