They say life is not a destination but a journey .. Yes, it is very true. As we go forward in life we should enjoy the moments that passed by us for the moment will never come again. The place maybe the same but the moment is already gone. Gone with the wind.
Well, this sound a bit sad but this is a fact that we have to face and the end is the same for all of us in whatever time , age or place. We never like to look at the end but the end is real and it is always there waiting for you. Like the generations before us that have gone to the ashes. Just vanished.
So, we have to enjoy every moment and it does not matter long or short but we have live well . We should do all the things we want to do in sickness or good health and enjoy the moments.
I was make wiser from Ajahn Brahm , the Australian Buddhist monk and he says in his video talk " when you faced an inevitable problem , you should learn to taste the honey of the moment as danger or trouble stands in both ends and there is no way to go. He says that the inevitable problem is like you have been chased by a fierce tiger and you decide to jump into a well. As you are holding on a to root , you saw a big cobra at the bottom of the well expecting you to fall down and it will kill you. Now, you are facing a tiger at the top of the well and there is a cobra at the bottom of the well. Then worst in the well , there is hole and two rats, a white and a black rat was chewing on the root which you holding on. The white rat represents the day and black rate represents the night. Suddenly you saw there was a bee hive in front of you and there is sweet honey dripping out from the hive. Without know the outcome of your fate , you should choose to taste and lick the honey and enjoy it while you are still there. The end is not within your control and so you let it be and have the wisdom to enjoy the moments of the day.
In the end of the story, the tiger fell and broke its neck at the bottom of the well and it crashes the cobra on its fall. At the end of the day, you will enjoy living again happily ever after.
Yes, we will never know the end, it could be that the tiger eats you or you were killed by the cobra . What will happen is all fated and pre-destined.
Namaste.
