Snoring - tips for cure. (study)

The sufferer may not be so badly affected but snoring has been known to cause such discord that couples end up getting divorced.
Research shows that habitual and heavy snoring can lead to Sleep Apnea that may be fatal if not treated early.

WHY DOES ONE SNORE?
When air flow through the mouth and nose is obstructed or forced into a narrow path, the sound that ensues is called snoring.

WHAT OBSTRUCTS AIR FLOW?
Any obstruction of the nasal pathway can cause snoring such as poor muscle tone of the throat and tongue that causes the muscles to relax too much, get floppy and collapse onto the airway.
Bulky throat tissue, such as large tonsils and adenoids too has the same effect. A long soft palate or a long uvula that vibrate too much may al so cause snoring.

"The human body is a marvelous piece of engineering that continues to evolve into greater perfection. And it even comes equipped with its own body clock."

ANY OTHER CAUSES?
Nasal allergies such as sinus infection or deformities of the nose such as a deviated septum and nasal polyps can also cause a person to snore.

HOW DO I STOP THE SNORING?
If you or your partner is snoring heavily, try these simple tips:

1. Sleep on your side Sleeping on your back relaxes the flesh too much and causes it to block the air passage
2. Elevate the head of your bed Elevation of the head removes the blockage of the air passage
3. Limit alcohol and medications Both can increase the relaxation of the muscles and cause it to go floppy
4. Clear your nasal passages Clear air passage means unobstructed breathing.
5. Lose weight Being out of shape cause fatty tissue build-up and poor muscle tone that can cause snoring.

If none of these tips are helping, please consult a doctor as there may be a serious underlying health problem.

As I see it today : GE13 - 30/4

The election will be on Sunday and I heard that Pakatan is getting stronger by the day and it was indeed a good news to all of us. However, everybody is worried about desperate acts by the BN ?  What can they do to stop the tide from gaining on them ?  They must be desperate especially the desperados ie the Old Horse, the Silly Chua , Ajib-kor and wife, etc.  The whole gang of them will have to pray hard for them to win the coming election.

Yeah, the Old Horse is calling the LKS and Nik, a racist.  I think he is a color-blind chap and cannot distinguish the colors infront of him.  Yes, by calling these two person, a racist then he can pit the Chinese against the Malays and the Malays against the Chinese.  This kind of simple game and he thinking that the people are stupid. He has to play this strategy so that the Chinese dominated areas will reject PAS and the Malay dominated area will reject DAP.  This is a child's game.

Suddenly, the former MB of Selangor , Khalid is saying that plane loads of foreigners are coming into Singapore and the EC starts laughing.  Yes, that is what they will do , laughing to cover their tracks. They have to make it look stupid so that they can carry out their plan.  This is a serious accusation and Khalid have been an honorable guy and there is certain truth before he can blast out this scheme. This is the dirtiest election ever and these things can happen.

I was telling my wife this morning when we were going to work, I can see more and more  1Malaysia flags by the roadsides and in some roundabout , it was like a fortress.  What is the purpose ? Is BN getting more and more desperate ? More flags means more confidence ? Or more money into their pockets ? This is very weird and silly. What are they going to do with the flags after the elections ?

During the Han Chiang mega-rally, LKS told the crowd that Anwar will be the 7th Prime Minister of Malaysia and I think Anwar deserved it because he has given so much of his life to over throw the BN and he and his family have suffered so much.  If this suffering happens to another person, he would have been broken by now. Fade away forever.

Many anti-Anwar's  news will come as the election gets near and today, Pairin , a strong man of  PBS in Sabah said that Anwar stopped the RCI in Sabah but he never mentioned when ? What about Pairin ? As the deputy Chief Minister , what has he done ? Nothing and he can suddenly come out and point fingers.  What a character ? He must be a talented finger pointer. When he point a finger , three fingers are pointing back at him. Another opportunist and only interested in Government positions.

Anwar promised " tranparency" and through transparency all the problems in Malaysia will be resolved as the dirt clogging the drains are removed, the water will flow again.   The money which comes from our natural resources will be enough to make the nation strong again. We have to block all the leakages and prevent corruptions which suck us dry and high.

Change , otherwise Change will change us whether for good or worst.

Mega Pakatan Dinner at Han Chiang , Penang

I studied at Han  Chiang High School ,Penang for my lower and upper Six and I have fond memories of my school.  During my schooling there.  I played so many  games  and sports.  I played  volleyball. Football , hockey  and I represented  my school in short putt and dragon boat race. I have won many medals for my school and myself. My mum throw it all away when we moved to a new house. Yeah, I have a good time at school. Now, my school have hosted several historical events.

In 2008. DAP hosted a 50,000 people's ceramah and DAP created history by capturing Penang. Today, they are organizing another mega ceramah for GE13 and they may capture Putrajaya. When I finished my yoga session at Kennedy road at 8.30pm .All the roads were blocked with cars and bikes and many people were walking towards Han Chaing for the mega ceramah. From the look of the crowd, it will be another big success. The time have come for a change.

I also read that BN will  be organizing another mega ceramah here and Najib will announced the upgrading of Han Chiang to a University status. Why has the timing been so perfect? This is very clear and this is really an abuse of the process. Furthermore. He may also announced that Penang will be given back its' free port status if BN wins back Penang. Another seniwara by half stupid politicians. The people of Penang is not so cheap and stupid. BN have under estimated our intelligence again. Silly fools. Why have you taken the free port from Penang and give it to Langkawi?  And you want to bring it to Penang? Can we trust you again?

it is better to work with an angel we don't know rather to work with a known devil like BN.

The wind of change is here - GE13

I do not know how many more elections I will go through but for this election, I must expressed my thoughts frankly for the future generations. I have noticed the BN have been repeatingly theiir Achievements  and the same issues for the past few elections. The money politics have  een very rampant and Najib is giving money everywhere he goes. This corruption in broad daylights. How can he managed a clean government if he is supporting corruption and abuse  of power.  There is a saying: Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. This a dangerous trend.

At breakfast with my sister and brother, my brother told me that the 1Malaysia flag is government property and its excessiveness around Penang is sinful. He told me that money have given the the local gangsters to plant the flag and to create a fortress in their area to impress the locals to support BN. I think the involvement of the underground Gangaters is another wrong step and not proper.  It should be a fair fight based on the manifestos and the principles. If  BN thinks that the more flags means improved  chances of winning then they  are wrong again.

The campaign by retired Mahatir and his  attack on Anwar is in bad taste as both the  sodomy cases have been defeated in the court. He claimed to have the right to speak but nobody is denying his right but it is not proper to launch a personal attack on another.  I agree with Anwar , he should  retired peacefully and enjoy his twilight years. Why is he still stirring up bad taste and stop the world from tuning. I think he must have a lot of shit on him and he is desperate to support BN to win at all cost. Yes, he has become a silly old man using Perkasa to control UMNO.

The time is right to change the dynasty as the Givernment if 56 years have deteriorate so much and becoming arrogant and abusive. At least, we can see what the new Government can do and what sort of shits will float up. We should be fearful of change when there is a need to change.  The time is here and it is ripe.

As I see it today-GE13 : 28/4

There was a report that that Pakatan will win popular votes  it will lost the seats to form the next Government. Honestly speaking , I think this is a possibility due to the massive vote buying and reported irregularities. Yes, this could be the dirtiest election ever.

As I have said  before from my from my observations,I think the report that the 1Malaysian flag is more than voters is absolutely true. This situation is correct in Farlim and this gives me the impression  that BN is getting desperate and want to win the elections at all cost. The group of BN flags looks urgly and give a feeling that there is too much wastage and abusive.

Another impression is that the Star newspaper have reach its tipping point as if it is struggling for survival. The management could have overdone in its effort to promote BN in its news reporting and adverts that they will be in big trouble if the Opposition were to win the elections. It is either do or die and looks desperate. Of course, like its master MCA . It could be completely wiped out in this election. This action is self destructive.

Many more desperate actions should be in the pipeline to win the election and the comment by care taker defence Minister's allegation of  linkage of some Pakatan senior members in the terrorist intrusion in Sabah which draw strong rebuttal from DS Anwar and his calling for evidence. This is another desperate and abusive attempt to hit the Pakatan parties. This is another dirty underhand tactic and this shiwed that BN have nothing nothing to talk about except controversial issues.

The  people is not stupid or ignorant anymore and to treat as that is a big mistake by BN and this could be the main reason for their downfall.

Exercise everyday - tips (ext)

If you take it step by step, working out will become an indispensable part of your day.

We are all creatures of habit. Taking a bath and brushing our teeth are things we do like clockwork, but if our parents did not drill these habits into our heads when we were kids, they would not be part of our routine. All habits, good or bad, are formed by the same mechanisms. Here are tips to help you make exercise a healthy habit.

Repeat
All habits are formed through repetition. Psychologists say it takes 21 repetitions for behavior to become habit if you can find a way to exercise for at least 21 consecutive times, you have a greater chance of making exercise a part of your life style.

Be accountable to someone
Parents succeed in instilling good hygiene habits in their children because they "carry a big stick." ("If we don't brush our teeth, we get tooth decay.")

Use the same strategy by choosing an exercise buddy who will hold you accountable for missing a workout.
A trick that works is to make a wager with a good friend. A Michigan State University study found that people who do so are 97 percent more likely to succeed in sticking to their exercise programs than if they do not. Penalties for missed exercise sessions could be money saved for an expensive item like athletic shoes.

Do it in stages
"Shaping" is a behavioral technique used to train animals like dolphins to .do fantastic stunts. It involves molding the ultimate behaviour (such as exercising for an hour every day) by breaking it down into small steps (exercising for 15 minutes, three times a week).
Some try to do too much in the beginning, burning themselves out or suffering injury before exercise can become a habit. An important component of shaping behavior is to reward yourself for achieving small, short-term goals. Start out by exercising for 15 minutes a day.
Reward yourself every time you add another five minutes to your workout.

Keep a record
A logbook is very important in motivating yours elf to continue until exercise becomes a habit.
Behavioral scientists have found that people who keep records of their attendance and progress are more likely to succeed in making exercise a permanent part of their lifestyle. When you become "addicted" to exercise, you won't need to keep a record anymore.

Prepare your exercise clothes
If you work out in the morning, prepare your exercise clothes the night before and put them in a conspicuous location. If you exercise after work, bring your gym bag to the office so you can change there and go straight to the gym.

Schedule your workouts
Plan your sessions just like you would important appointments, but be realistic. For example, exercise after you see your kids off to school in the morning. Or go to work 30 minutes earlier than necessary so that you can exercise during lunch break. Exercising at the same time every day instead of when you have time to spare ensures that working out will become a permanent ritual.

Another tip:
Many find it easier to get into an exercise routine if they do it every day rather than three times a week. Split your workouts so that you won't feel like you are exercising your life away Try this schedule: Do aerobic workouts on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, then lift weights on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Rest on Sunday.

As I was passing through ----GE 13

On my way to work,  I saw more and more 1Malaysia flag and it was a sea of blues along Green lane , Penang.   It was even more rediculous that the triangle divider oppersite Caltex was surrounded by all these blue flags.  I think it is getting abit irritating and I could see some flags on the road and it is so much wastage. What is the meaning?

The 1Malaysia programme is a Government programme and why it needs to be display this way by the BN parties ?  It is an abusive of power and it has been overdoing it.  BERSIH is right , the Government should not be so abusive of the people's money.

As I was driving, my mind went back to an on-line news which inform us that Jolynce Tan was the daughter of the former Gerakan strong man, Tan Gim Hwa. Yeah, I have been glancing through her writing on the Star column and I have been noticing that she is very anti Pakatan and drawing out issues to smear the opposition. After reading one article, I have been skipping her page and now, the dots have connect and I know why she is so bias in her writing . I believe this is a democratic country and everyone have a right but this kind of silent brainwashing is very malicious. She should have declared her status to the readers and we can then read it with a pinch of salt. So much underhand tactics.

Another point came to my mind is the comment by award winning actress from Kedah asking the cyber bullies not to criticize  Michelle Yeoh or other artiste  because they supported BN.  Yes, I think these artiste should be aware of their position and should reserve their support  and their rights but they should not use their position as artiste to influence other people. "If you eat chilli , then you should feel the hot" and open for criticism.  The cyber bullies are also exercising their right and their right to criticize.  If we don't want to be criticize then don't use your influence on other people.  This is a free world and if you judge , then you have also to be judged. This is fair and square.

The mind was full of thoughts about what is becoming of Malaysia where there is much abuse and wastage especially the blue flags....it is just like throwing money in the drain... To those people in power, please do consider the hardship of the people.

The progress of GE13 - Kee Thuan Chye ( ext)

Wed, 24 Apr 2013 08:45:00 GMT | By Kee Thuan Chye

Opinions: The Odds, they are a-Changin’

As it looks, a few days past nomination day, the odds are changing to favour Pakatan, although at the time of the dissolution of Parliament, the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) seemed to have the upper hand: Kee Thuan Chye reports.

The Opposition coalition Pakatan Rakyat must be very careful between now and polling day not to make any not to make any colossal mistakes that could deny it victory at the 13th general election. I’m thinking of something about the same magnitude as or greater than the faux pas made by Tengku Razaleigh in wearing the Kadazan headgear with a cross on it on the eve of the 1990 general election.

As it looks, a few days past nomination day, the odds are changing to favour Pakatan, although at the time of the dissolution of Parliament, the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) seemed to have the upper hand.

BN appears to be in trouble now with so many of its members having abandoned the coalition to stand as independents. Umno, the biggest component party, alone suffered the defiance of 61 mutineers. This is totally unprecedented and comes as a huge blow for the party of caretaker prime minister Najib Razak. It could well mean a loss of confidence in the party.
What’s more, BN must also be hurting from the defection of one of Umno’s stalwarts, Muhammad Muhammad Taib, to PAS. As a former menteri besar of Selangor, he will be influencing Malay voters to help Pakatan retain the government in Selangor, much to the chagrin of Najib, who has been gunning to get it back for BN.

Pakatan, too, is faced with the plight of members standing as independents. On top of that, after nominations were over, component parties PKR and PAS found themselves competing with each other over seven seats. This might have been due to lack of coordination, but whatever the reason, the matter has been resolved, with each party taking three seats.
The seventh, which concerns the Kota Damansara seat, is more tricky because the candidate standing on the PKR platform is from PSM, a socialist party that PAS finds itself at odds with ideologically.

On the whole, the picture that emerges of Pakatan is that PKR, PAS and its third partner, the DAP, have coalesced as a united force with the required team spirit. Reinforcing this could have been the threat to the DAP’s legitimacy to stand under its own symbol posed by a surprising letter sent by the Registrar of Societies (ROS) only two days before nomination day.
Thrown into a quandary, the DAP sought the help of its partners and was readily granted it, as both PKR and PAS offered to let it stand under their party symbols. In the end, it didn’t turn out to be necessary, but the bond between the grateful DAP and the other two parties appears to have been strengthened.
Now the coalition appears to be positively charged to take on BN. The latter seems to have nothing innovative to offer except more threats – like the Iskandar region in Johor being halted in its progress if Pakatan were to win Johor or that there would be racial strife if the DAP’s Lim Kit Siang were to win Gelang Patah – and more vote-buying handouts, like the cash vouchers spotted in Alor Setar and Nibong Tebal by the election watchdog Pemantau. But Pakatan is going full steam ahead with post-election pledges.

For Sarawakians who want change – or, in Malay, ubah, which is the rallying cry of many Malaysians throughout the country – Pakatan promises that if it wins federal power, it will instruct the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to investigate the current chief minister there, Taib Mahmud, for corruption, resulting perhaps in the eventual appointment of a new chief minister.

As for the Iskandar region, Pakatan will honour commitments already made to current investors, but it will ensure, according to Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim, that business deals are “more transparent” and that opportunities are generated “for the locals”. It will also continue to encourage investment and development.

That Pakatan is more positive in its campaign is also reflected in the newspaper advertisements put out by both coalitions. BN’s tend to focus on showing up what it considers the potential negative scenario in the event of a BN defeat, like the MCA questioning the wisdom of ubah or reiterating the threat aimed at non-Muslims that a vote for the DAP is a vote for PAS and therefore an Islamic state.

Pakatan, on the other hand, has one of DAP Secretary-General Lim Guan Eng taking a winning attitude: “Not anti-Malay, not anti-Islam, only anti-CORRUPTION.”
In terms of public perception, BN has also suffered a credibility gap for fielding Ibrahim Ali and Zulkifli Nordin, two of the candidates most dreaded by voters who want ubah.

Both are leaders of the right-wing NGO Perkasa of which ex-prime minister Mahathir Mohamad is the patron. In fact, before nominations, Mahathir had publicly endorsed Ibrahim – deemed an extremist for calling on Muslims to burn Bibles that carried the word ‘Allah’ – as a candidate for Pasir Mas, and said there should be more Ibrahim Alis so that Malaysia could be saved.
But when Najib announced the candidates’ list, Ibrahim was not included although Zulkifli was. Ibrahim then announced he would stand as an independent. He was quick to add, however, that the reason for it was not to go against BN. In fact – and this sounded stupid – he urged all Perkasa members to back … not him, but the BN candidate! Why on earth would he contest only to lose?

The shadow-play behind it all became apparent on nomination day when Najib’s nominee, Che Johan Pa, arrived at the nomination centre but didn’t submit his papers. This automatically allowed Ibrahim to take on his PAS opponent in a straight fight.

Che Johan reportedly said his withdrawal was to “make way for BN to win” because a three-cornered fight would have benefitted the PAS candidate. It’s striking that he mentioned BN when Ibrahim is standing as an independent. It’s also striking that the large group of BN supporters who accompanied Che Johan to the centre actually cheered when they heard he was not contesting!

One could speculate from this that Najib didn’t dare name Ibrahim outright for fear of being exposed for contradicting his own 1Malaysia sales pitch. At the same time, he apparently dared not go against Mahathir and therefore opted for a decoy.

The ploy has not fooled the public, however. Neither has the fielding of Zulkifli as an unprecedented “friend of Barisan Nasional” candidate purportedly because he is a “winnable” one. Najib should know that Indians offended by Zulkifli’s insensitive remarks about them and their religion have not forgiven him although he has apologised to them, so his selection must be due to some other reason.

Anwar spoke what was on the mind of many sensible Malaysians when he asked, rhetorically, why Najib would field Zulkifli. The answer, my friends, is blowing in the wind.

So, what will it look like on election day? A victory for Pakatan Rakyat as the call for ubah rings ever more loudly each day, boosted by the support of legions of overseas voters who are organising to come home and vote?

Who knows? If the elections are fair and free of fraud, that might just be the result.

As I see it today - GE13 : 25/4

As I a Buddhist, I should be preaching peace and harmony to all my readers but I have also to be engaged on what is happening day to day and have to be righteous in my thinking and action.  This is one of the eight fold path. I have to speak my mind when I see there is something wrong with the country and all of us will be hurt in the process.  Dalai Lama have preached that as long as we do things that is not harmful to others , then it is alright but the conclusion of the GE13 will have great impact on us and also our future generations. Hence, I have to face it and engaged it and speak my mind. Otherwise, we will be only passive in our actions and words.

Today, I read a few articles on the progress of GE13 and how  the mamoth gathering of 20,000 people in Pakatan ceremah in Segamat  and another 20,000 people in Negri Sembilan  and through these messages, the people want to know what is happening to the country and what the opposition can do for them.  They are no more passive or stupid and they are actually very concern.  This is a very good sign that the people is waking up to the massive corruption of the BN government.  Lets pray for more consciousness and awareness of the common people.

Another article talk about the massiv advertisement in the BN control news prints especially the Star newspaper which runs a few pages of advertisments attacking DAP and PAS.  One vote DAP is one vote for PAS and the author is saying that they are running adverts to promote the Oppositioin rather than highlight the things BN Government have done for the people. This is an hilarious issue. Stupid actions. Furthermore, I agreed that it has backfired on the BN . An overkill or an over run with the tax payers money.  Massive wastage and we can see how arrogant the Government have been or how highhanded they have become. Utterly nonsense.

There is also reports of vote buying activities and the strange route of the ballot boxes .  Such suspicious activities have yet to be investigated and these dirty tactics  showed that BN is desperate. Desperate to win and by this way, they become more corrupted to the core.

Another report showed that the seniwara involving Ibrahim Ali and Zulkify Noordin , the Perkasa leaders is already a known fact where BN is only creating a scene to put these two racist leaders to the poll against Pakatan.  What have Hindraf  have to say on this matter?  Selfish agenda. All these background play and dirty tactic can only be the actions of cowards and simpltons.  There is a chinese saying : if we do not want others to know, then we should not do it ourself.  This saying is so simple and yet , it is difficult for these simpltons to understand.

Yes,  I am not preaching hatred or anger but I would like to say what is happening  to the country and I am not against race, religion and I am absolutely behind DAP , that is I am against corruption.  The roots have corruption have been running deep for more than 50 years and now, the tree is shaking after all the roots have decay and lets cut it or pull it down and lets begin from a bud, a new plant and get rid of the parasites and the creepers which have eat into the tree and make it rotten to the core.

Yes, now is the time. Lets do it.

As I see it today - GE13 : 24/4

Last Saturday,  I was at my yoga class and there was about 8 of us at the class.  As I step in , the girls were chatting about their support for Pakatan and they stop chatting upon seeing me. I was curious and as I lay my mat on the floor, I asked a question : Who is a BN supporter among us?  There was a complete silence and my Yoga teacher told me that the group belongs to the opposition . Then I jokingly said that nobody will admit that they are BN supporters because they would be killed in Penang.

Yeah , look at Michelle Yeoh and how many of dislikes expressing opinion that as a celebrity actress , she should not take sides and influence the young people.  I think there is some truth in it and it is not ethical. People must have an independent mind to choose and these influences is not healthy.

Based on my touch to the ground, whenever I go , the young people are so passionate about the Pakatan especially DAP.  We could not speak something negative about Pakatan or DAP , otherwise, there would be a furious hit back from the audience. This attitude maybe good  and also can be bad. I think the image of BN is so bad in Penang that caused  this repulsive feeling among the youngsters especially the Gen Y. They are very close in socializing and also communicate frequently on the internet and facebook and their information whether true or false spread very rapidly.

Some of my lady staff belongs to this group of passionate voter and they travel to ceremah to listen to the opposition speakers and one of my lady staff, K is going to wear the Ubah bird symbol  on her two twin daughters.  She told me that the future of her two daugthers lies in her hand and she must protect their fights and money by stopping corruption and wastefulness of BN.  She is  convinced that Malaysia is going to be bankrupt. Another staff, B told me that the EPF fund have been abused and her retirement fund would be gone if BN is in power.  This opinion is widespread and all these youngsters shared the same opinion.

Today, I read an article that BN candidate Zuklifi  Noordin apolosize to the India for insulting them 10 years ago and he intends to protect the Indian as some indians have been kissing him.  Can a leopard changed its spots?  Bullshit king  and these double talk cannot convinced me. Furthermore, he is the Vice President of Perkasa,  What is Perkasa been doing in promoting the rights of Malay?  He is  a racist and how can he changed so easily ?  Such type of politicians cannot be trusted.

Yes, the GE13 getting hot up and becoming very dirty.  It is a battle for survival and there is no time to waste. It is do or die time and it has very serious impact on the survival of the Government of the day.
I still proposed change as the wind of change is coming.

As I see it , GE13 - 22/4

I was having a lunch with three colleagues of mine and they were so passionate about the coming GE13 and were supportive of DAP.  One of my collleague called LGE as my GOD while another colleague attended his ceremah at Esplanade on the 19th of April 2013 and told us that there were about 50,000 people there.  This colleague admired DS Anwar's speech very much and she thinks that  Anwar was a very good speaker and motivator. But, the point is that four of us supported change and also supported the opposition.

I think the main issue is that we are so tired of BN's corruption news and so much of coverage and no transparency in their dealings.  After 52 years, it is suffocating to all of us and we want to see a change and maybe a check and balance equivalibrium based on two party system.  There is a choice rather than taking it lying down.

I could see there are so many advertisement in the English and Chinese newspapre which are owned by the BN parties and each advertisement is so colorful and in full page.  I think there is a lot of money been spend in this area and this gives me that image that the big towkays are supporting these advertisements.  The one vote for DAP is one vote for PAS have been advertised repeated by MCA and this richman's party is so scare of losing in the coming election. Even his President Silly Chua is not standing for election and shying away from the competition.  He is a toothless tiger and only interested in holding on to his Presidential seat in MCA. Silly fella.

In the TV , there are so many 1Malaysia adverts as well and it comes in every interval between the shows and I think there is also alot of wastage by BN or UMNO.  The country is going to run dry soon if these wasteful attitute is not change.

Better to take this chance to change and if there is no corruptioin , UMNO will die and let it be.

As I see it today: GE13 - 21/4

The traffic was heavy yesterday during the nomination in Penang and a few roads were closed. I was caught in the jam in Green Lane, Penang near one of the nomination centre and I could hear shout of excitement. It is a normal situation but I read that during DS Anwar's nomination in his home seat , he was insulted by shout of "backside" by the BN supporters. This reflects the attitude and gutter politics of these people. They only know the language of @&&%#€£ . How can we place our future in their hands? Chicken shits!!!

What  a relief? Finally, the Rocket was given a chance to fly. Not another dirty trick again. In Pasir Emas , a last minute withdrawal by BN put Ibrahim Ali in a straight fight with PAS. Why so much seniwara to give way and support to the Perkasa Ali?  BN thinks that we are stupid .You are wrong and  you have been acting stupid. Like a silly crab in Cantonese. LOL.

I went around town this morning and the whole was blue in color. Blue in 1 Malaysia and blue in BN flag. The blue color was a stale blue and have no life and shine. In another words, it is hell blue. Haiyoo, make people feel like moaning. I feel that theses flags are overdoing and mis-used of our tax payers money. The lots and lots of goodies from BN for the past two weeks and the next two weeks will bankrupt the nation. There is a saying in town : Ang pow in pocket but vote Rocket. Silly BN people , their mind is so simple .

Silly  crabs. Cannot even walk straight and always thinking stupid.
Send them to the shit hole.

As I see it today, GE13 - 19/4

I am shocked to hear that money is oozing out from everywhere .. from the sky, from underground and from the underhand. BN should win at whatever cost and the bets are only RM6000 against RM600 if BN win in Penang. Ow! Money have been given to groups to prepare for the win in the GE13.

Another serious matter is the ROS said that DAP can still used their logo during nomination day but they will not recognized the newly chosen leaders in the recent DAP poll due to the complaint by their members of irregularities. Why is this matter been raise only two or three days before the nomination day ?? Another of BN's  malicious act.  For a long while, we have deemed that there is no independence or transparency in Malaysia and everything is linked to BN.  It is better to change and break this chain and link.  The election of DAP have already been done three months ago and this statement is only make known now. This event will force DAP to stand under PAS and PKR and could confused the Rakyat over this matter.  This dirty underhand tactic is deplorable and despise.

Suddenly, the Penang BN issued a manifesto to revive Penang Free Port status and provide a MRT for the island if BN were to re-capture Penang and there were also threat that there will be a riot.  What kind of Politicians are we having?  Throwing goodies and promising the sky to win the election.  Cheap sake and if they are sincere , they should have done so during their time in Government or do it when the state is under opposition to show what they can do for the people of Penang.

We have been warned that this will be the dirtest election ever and it is turning out to be true. All old cows, old goats and shady characters are having their say and doing all the dishonorable things to win their election or further their agenda and one of the group is Hindraf , who inked their agreement with Najib a few days before the nomination date ie tomorrow and calling the Indians to return the 2/3 majority to BN.  People sometimes can just sell their souls to the devil to get whatever they want.  Very scary characters and stupid flying swordsman , who can backstab you anytime.

Today is Pakatan's ceramah in Espanade  and I hope  people will show up to support them and to show to the Penang BN that the people is solidly behind Pakatan with the hope to change the Federal Government in Malaysia.  We have to change for the better of all and please do not sell your soul to the Devil.

Namaste.

Top 8 Food Myths - study

Top 8 Food Myths

Along with the Loch Ness Monster, UFOs and Vampires, there exists a long list of other myths that till today remain a mystery. These myths about food however have been debunked, and with that, we present to you some of the most popular food-related myths and the truth behind them.

CHOCOLATE
Chocolate is evil! It's the Devil's temptation! Stay away from it unless you want to instantly become fat! Oh, how we've all heard that before - and how some of us choose to completely ignore it. Studies have proved that chocolate has not one, not two but a whole long list of beneficial effects on your health. But what about acne on my pretty little face, you ask? Well, acne is actually caused by the accumulation of dead skin cells, hormonal changes, and oily skin and is heredity, so consuming chocolate has no effect on your acne. Ever wondered why you've never seen an angry person eating chocolate? That's because chocolate increases your brain's serotonin levels) which is basically your 'feel good' hormone, Also, it has antibiotic properties, improves blood circulation) boosts memory, acts as a neuronal disinhibitor that amplifies attraction, excitement, boldness and (men, take note) it also boosts your sexual performance! There is also proof that the antioxidant-rich dark chocolate greatly reduces stress-hormone levels and fight-or-flight hormones (catecholamines). And if those facts aren't convincing enough, chocolate is also rich in iron, magnesium and a 1999 research at Harvard University even discovered that chocolate consumers live almost one year more than those who do not eat chocolate.

EGGS
You've seen it happen - that one person who pushes aside the egg yolk with a disgusted look on his/her face while saying "Too much cholesterol". Eggs are not healthy for you only if you eat too many of them. Too much of anything isn't good for you, really. Having at least one egg a day is actually advisable because it's filled with protein, vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E, niacin, biotin and vitamin B12, which when you think about it, is a lot of healthy goodness. It is not uncommon for people to say that you should avoid high-cholesterol eggs, but according to Lisa Miles, Nutrition Scientist at the British Nutrition Foundation, "cholesterol from our diet has little influence on blood cholesterol concentrations in healthy people". Not to mention, eggs are one of the richest sources of iron, calcium, phosphorus and also choline, a nutrient that helps brain functions. The best time to indulge in eggs would be for breakfast, where it's been proven to induce lower calorie consumption for the rest of the day.

RED WINE
Now before you start jumping for joy while screaming. "It's okay to be an alcoholic, Top Wellness Health said so!" let me say this, yes, drinking red wine is another way to prolong your life and stay healthy. Chugging down a whole bottle of it, however, isn't.
Now that we've got that out of the way, here are some reasons why moderate amounts of red wine can help you - red wine contains resveratrol, a compound that fights disease and has anti-ageing properties. It also lowers the risk of heart attack for middle-aged people by 30 to 50 per cent. But that's not all! Studies also indicate that red wine raises HDL cholesterol (the good one) and prevents LDL cholesterol (the bad one) from forming, aids anticlotting, maintains healthy blood vessels, protects you against osteoporosis, cataracts, heart disease, Alzheimer's disease and many more! Just a word of caution, do NOT start drinking if you do not already drink alcohol. And for those of you who already do, please do so in moderation.

COFFEE
Being a coffee junkie myself, this busted myth is a sure reason to celebrate. Okay, so drinking too much can obviously cause sluggishness, bad breath, and unhealthy heartbeats and triggers other heart related problems. Your sleep is affected and you even lose calcium through urine, but similarly to anything else you may consume, the trick is to do it in moderation. When consumed moderately, coffee has been proven to protect the skin against UV radiation, decrease insulin levels, and is beneficial against eye spasm, gout, and muscular and joint pain. You'll also be glad to know that coffee increases sexual drive. Despite all its benefits, pregnant women take note - your consumption of caffeine should be limited to a maximum of 300mg daily only (that's about four cups of instant coffee).

MILK
The argument on whether milk is actually good for you has been debated for ages and till today is clouded with uncertainty. It's been said that milk strengthens your bones, yet American women, the biggest consumers of calcium in the world, have one of the highest levels of osteoporosis. African Bantu women eat a1mos no dairy products and have low calcium intake, yet hardly suffer from osteoporosis. They also say milk is a great source of calcium, which based on studies, is untrue-milk is rich in calcium, but it's also high in animal protein and prevents your body from actually absorbing the calcium. (Only about 25 per cent of calcium is absorbed) Other sources for calcium like nuts, seeds and green leafy vegetables whereas provide us with more than 50 per cent. One fact you may already know is that the enzyme needed to digest milk sugar (lactose) is called lactase, and it disappears from our bodies at the age of three.
After which, milk is virtually indigestible. Even the American Association of Pediatricians doesn't recommend cow's milk for infants below the age of one. Now, you may hate us for revealing this, but who knows? Maybe cow's milk is just not meant for us human beings.

CARROTS
But mama said...yes, but didn't she also tell you that the Easter Bunny was real? For decades, carrots were believed to improve eyesight for one simple reason - they're full of vitamin A, which is essential for healthy eyesight as well as skin.
However, Professor Algis Vingrys from the University of Melbourne's Department of Optometry and Vision Services states that no amount of carrots will improve your eyesight if you've already got a well balanced diet. To ensure healthy eyesight, all you need is a diet with sufficient vitamin A, iron and other substances that our bodies can convert into vitamins (provitamins). It Is Interesting to note where this myth actually started. During World War II, Germany was surprised at how well the British Royal Air Force was able to shoot down German planes in the dark. Those clever Brits, reluctant to reveal their secret of using night radar, told them that their pilots ate lots and lots of carrots. The Germans bought the story.

ORANGE JUICE
When you ask people why they consider a glass of orange juice a good way 0 s art the day, you will almost always encounter responses such as these: it's a good source of vitamin C, it's healthy or my mama said so. Only problem is, oranges are both sweet and very acidic. They stress our immune system because they're considered a high glycemic food that spikes blood sugar. They also increase acidity, weakening the body's ability to fight off bacteria and viruses, and increase congestion and mucus production. Sure, orange Juice is a good source of vitamin C - for soldiers without access o fresh fruits and vegetables ha is. Have a whole orange instead, or for an even beer source of vitamin C, have some kiwis. Apples are high in vitamin C and also contain plenty of fibre, making them a low-glycemic food. Lemons contain as much vitamin C as oranges, but they also improve he body's acid-alkali balance.

FROZEN FOOD
The very thought of frozen and canned food being healthier than fresh food can seem rather ridiculous to many, but here are some often overlooked facts. The 'fresh' food or products you see at the grocery store, warehouses, shops and markets may have been hanging around there for weeks! After harvesting, here's the sorting and packing process, then comes shipping, more often than not cross country.
While all that’s happening, fluctuations in light and temperature rob fruits and vegetables of important nutrients such as vitamin C and folate.
It can take days or even weeks before they reach he dinner table and vitamins are gradually lost over time no matter how carefully the vegetables are transported and stored. Frozen and canned foods whereas, retain more nutrients and while it often doesn't taste as good as the fresh ones, the ash-freezing process means vegetables may be frozen within hours of being picked, reducing the breakdown of chemicals. And while the heating process in canning causes some nutrient loss, they are not lost significantly.

Interesting analogy (Malaysia)- ext

The moment when a dream is awakened...*
I wonder you feel the same as me ; all the sudden I realized friends andrelatives around me seems to get less and less.
Those years when the New Year drew near, all sorts of gatheringappointments almost completely filled the diaries, but this year seems soquiet.Even in normal time, phone calls become less and less, face to face meet upalso become much less.
Perhaps, everybody is busy with their own things, or perhaps, nowadayspeople prefer to stay in.
However, it is not entirely like this, thinking further, actually oldfriends and relatives are not around any more. God bless, they are stillalive and well, they just left the country, Malaysia .
They have gone to China to set factory; ah Wang quit his engineer job andmigrated to Australia to set up his little food store business, ah Fongleft the local University went to Hong Kong as a lecturer. 'Frog' went toTaiwan to pursue his second career life. Others went to Americia , England, even Indonesia ...
At first, I thought these are individual cases, but gradually, peoplearound me realized the same, these are not individual cases but a generalsymptom of our society. they are not small numbers but the pretty bigindeed.
Department of Foreign Affairs released the figures earlier, it confirmedthe situation is real.
從去年3月到今年9月,已經有30萬大馬人移民他國;其中20萬 人是今年1月到8月出走的數目。From March 2008 thru September 2009, a total of 300,000 Malaysian migratedto other countries, among them 200,000 left between Jan - Aug 2009. (in 8months)
累積下來,已經有超過200萬大馬人移民,接近今天印尼外勞在大馬的人口。Cummulatively, 2 million Malaysians migrated, this figure is close to thenumber of Indonesian workers in Malaysia today.
不同的是,移居他國的大馬人,多是專業人士、中產階級。The difference are, those migrated are mostly professional and middle classpeople.
他們有很多出走的理由,追求事業發展,為了孩子前途,尋找個人更大空間……,概括一句:對馬來西亞失望。They have many reasons to leave: pursue career development, for the futureof their children, in search of better life and environment... In onesentence, they lost hope of Malaysia .
50年前,大家說,馬來西亞真好,好過香港,甚至日本。50 years ago people said: Malaysia is very good, better than Hong Kong andeven Japan .
30年前,大家說,馬來西亞還不錯,比得上韓國、台灣(不提香港和日本了)。30 years ago people said: Malaysia is not bad, comparable to S. Korea andTaiwan . (No mention of Hong Kong and Japan any more).
20年前,大家說,馬來西亞還可以,至少超越中國、泰國(不能和台、韓比了)。20 years ago people said: Malaysia can do lah, at least better than Chinaand Thailand (Cannot compare with Taiwan and Korea lah)
10年前,大家說,馬來西亞再差,還不至於像越南、印尼(中國已是不同級別)。10 years ago people said: No matter how bad Malaysia is, cannot be worsethan Vietnam and Indonesia ok-lah. ( China is already in a differentcategory).
今日,越南和印尼的經濟成長率遙遙領先大馬, 社會活力和知識發展也勝過一籌;距離愈來愈近了。Today, the economic growth rate of Vietnam and Indonesia already farexceeded Malaysia , Social activity and intellectual development of thecountry is also better, the gap between us and them is closing up.
怕甚麼,還有菲律賓和柬埔寨、緬甸。Why worry? there are still Philipines , Cambodia and Myanmar behind us.
但是,一位經濟學家最近到菲律賓考察之後,認為再過20年,大馬可以取代菲律賓,出口馬籍女傭到全世界了。However, according to an economist who recently surveyed Phillipines, hethink in 20 years' time, Malaysia can replace Phillipines to become theWorld exporter of Malaysian maids.
半個世紀以來,馬來西亞是在大宅院裡,用封建方式,分配祖宗家業,消耗社會資源,浪費和逼走人才;不談競爭力,忽略生產力,討厭績效制。Over half a century, Malaysians live in the big old imperial housingcomplex, closed up and survive on properties left behind by the ancestor;continued to consume up social resources, wasteful, and drove away talents;they never talk about competitiveness, totally neglected productivity, andhated meritocracy.
亞洲金融風暴來襲時,大馬把門關起來,以為避過一劫, 有人還自我陶醉,自以為是天才策略。When Asia economic storm hit in 1997, Malaysia closed their doors, thinkingwe beautifully avoided a disaster, they even think of themselves as genius, being able to handle the situation so well.
然而,其它國家面對風暴,走出風暴,進行體質改革,跨步向前,登上另一個水平;大馬卻還在原地踏步。However, just look at other countries in our neighbourhood ; they stood up,faced the storm, and walked out of the storm. They overhauled their system, improved the processes and marched forward ; they moved up to a new level. And Malaysia , still walking on the spot . . !
馬來西亞,該醒一醒了。Dear Malaysia , it's time to wake up !We are very very late now !
